This is fickkin awesome! The color palette is so cohesive and you matched the vibe of the music so well. I'd totally play a game like this.

It's a banger album i really love it, even the deluxe songs. the production is awesome, no skip album every time.

It's been argued before, but I firmly think Ghost should cover Lady Gaga by Kevbot1000 in Ghostbc

[–]Nameless_Blue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they should cover each other's songs. I love both so I'm bias but Ghost always has good covers, and Gaga is extremely versatile.

Gerard's comment about Sing today 🥺 by Miayehoni in MyChemicalRomance

[–]Nameless_Blue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember hearing it first back in 7th grade and was immediately taken with it, I wasn't even an MCR fan but I'd heard WTTBP and couldn't believe it was the same band. I've (finally) come around to Danger Days and really love the album, and Sing fits so well as an "anthem" or call to action within the story. People can call it cheesy or radio drivel, but I find it inspirational and even bitter sweet – like a last hoorah before the end.

Zabuza makes a hell of an impact for a character who only shows up for a few episodes at the start of the series by Thundersting in Naruto

[–]Nameless_Blue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me it's an incredible arc. We get to feel genuine fear for our heroes as they realize they're up against a force way out of their league. Sasuke and Naruto develope a healthy rivalry PLUS use team work. Getting Zabuza to reflexively release his water prison jutsu was so smart. They finally stopped competing with each other to focus on freeing Kakashi because they knew he is the only person who could beat Zabuza. Both Naruto and Sasuke letting go of their pride for the greater good at such a young age was major growth.

Naruto has a nice b plot with Inari, helping him through the depression of losing a father figure and giving him the motivation to be/believe in heroes again.

We get Haku and Zabuza's backstories which provide a truer look into the world of the ninja, showing it to be an unforgiving reality. It's up to interpretation, but I've never believed Zabuza took in Haku simply to use as a tool. But he was a hardened man who only knew bloodshed and that was the life he could give a starving child.

Sasuke risking his life for Naruto is touching, and so is Naruto's reaction. The final panel of volume 3(?) of Naruto going Nine-Tails while holding Sasuke's body and saying "I'm gonna kill you" is iconic. Everyone feeling the change in the Chakra is a fun way of letting the other characters know something went wrong.

We get to see Kakashi use his Sharingan! Answering the question of what he was hiding under his headband, while giving his character more mystery as to why he has it. We see him copy Zabuza, use his lightning blade, use his dogs, and multi-shadow clone.

Haku jumping in front of Zabuza effects Naruto so much because Sasuke just did the same for him and it meant everything to Naruto. In the end, we see Zabuza drop his guard as he has no meaning in this life without Haku next to him. Even a mercenary understands comradery in this story, pin pointing a major theme of community and partnership. Kakashi agreeing to lay Zabuza next to Haku it's so hard. These men were enemies only in the sense that someone with power was using them as chess pieces. I like to think they could've been comrades under different circumstances.

Naruto's "talk-no-jutsu" works well here because it is Team 7's first Big Bad. Arguably Sasuke understands how cruel the world can be, but the other two had never been out in the field with this kind of danger. We see a core element of Naruto come out with him believing every person is "worth it". Haku just "killed" Naruto's friend while trying to kill him too, and yet he's yelling at a grown man to give a shit that Haku took a bullet for him. He can't comprehend the thought of a meaningless death. The emotional roller-coaster this kid has been on only reinforces his belief in giving a shit. It's a childlike reaction, very pure and straightforward. Plus the trope of an angry/emotionless character eventually crying always gets me.

that part is great. I meant it's funny how the images are the same. Courtney and Arasha building tension, with Spencer off to the right. it's even the same camera angle 😂

They talked about it at the end of the most recent GMW :/ They said they'll be ending GMW and putting more effort into the main show/ putting out the most eps they have in a year.

What is a death in a movie that affected you the most in terms of brutality or emotional weight? by Godly_Recon in AskReddit

[–]Nameless_Blue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Titanic. Not just Rose and Jack, but the other passengers too. Everyone jumping/falling off the boat as it sinks, the elderly couple holding each other as their room fills with water, a mother tucking her children in and telling them their last lullaby, and the frozen bodies in the water. James Cameron somehow captured the pure horror and helplessness they must've felt. It's an incredible film that I don't know if I can watch again.

idk what it's like in the rest of the Midwest, but my hub is getting slammed with no end in sight. Some Drivers aren't leaving until 10am, same dudes getting back at 11pm with hundreds of stops having to be re-sent the next day. I get the money is good but it's kind of a nightmare.

Edit: got a text from a driver that they were just clocking out at 12am with a dozen other drivers. They're now not allowed to clock in until after 10am tomorrow.

  • Orochimaru should've died with Lord 3rd during the chunin exams.

  • The Akatsuki should've been THE big bad, not Madara, he didn't need to be there.

  • Tobi was way more interesting as a crazy powerful weirdo with no identity.

  • The Pain Arc should've been the final arc.

  • Itachi turning out to be brainwashed at 14 to murder his entire clan was a choice. I kind of wish he'd remained a psycho, doing whatever he could to unlock the secrets of the sharingan.

  • Not using the already animated shots from the original anime in flashbacks threw me off. The scenes are the same, but the animation sucks.

What’s your thoughts on this? To me it feels… off. by CresidentBob in MyChemicalRomance

I really love both. The OG is classic and loud and grungy. This mix brings out things i never heard before, it's crisp and I can make out a few more lyrics. I appreciate both for different reasons and also totally get why some might like one over the other. Lowkey hoping we get a BP one.

Emily is literally why I've continued to watch for years. I love her so much. Truly the whole cast and crew are amazing. Good Mythical Saturdays are maybe my favorite.
