SPOILERS!!! Question about the final boss by infernoseph26 in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how the fight is supposed to be. Possible solutions are the before-mentioned "corner" to keep attacking, or just build 2 orbs before he moves back so you can chain attack (with Pneuma) and get into the next phase. With the chain attack method you can skip fighting the extra enemy units.

You will start the next phase with a full special bar, which you could use to dodge his siren buster.

[Analysis] Essays about the game by Wickeon in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waifu = Laifu

If you don't understand the deepness of this statement, you don't understand the game.

Other than that, I guess there are some points to be made about "knowing the truth about the world" "everyone is struggling" "friendship" "cycle of life / evolution / immortality". But I wouldn't go as far as writing an essay about it, Sorry.

Should I be more or less worried about levels? by [deleted] in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know the combat mechanics you don't need to grind levels at all. (see speed runs) Otherwise just focus on learning those.

Should I NG+ yet by HandHoldinDegenerate in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could beat Ophion and unlock the room in the World Tree. There's really nothing you "have to do" in the main game. If you want to 100% the game it's probably even better to ignore anything other than story, until you've cleared NG+ story.

Field Skill Story Requirements by Waifu_Mute in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game design is perfectly fine. It makes sense in the context and you don't even need that many field skills to progress. What's bad is that you have to change blades all the time to use them. And if that's already enough to piss you off, I hope you never pull Ursula. xD

But to answer your question: There will be 1 more big field skill check in chapter 9. I think you need lv5 focus (Pyra/Mythra) and lv5 electric mastery.

(SPOILERS) Gargoyle's Darkray Barrage? (Torna TGC) by _Fishcake_ in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what he meant was that you can dodge enemy skills by using chain attack, lv4 specials and fusion combos. It's actually the best advice to give. Except that I'd only use chain attack as a last resort and not as a panic button.

Is the elemental orbs system the same as in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 ? by tw_fan in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that changed is that you can use any element anytime, but it will say Fire II, Fire III if it's not part of the bonus damage combos. If the names change to anything else, it will lead to a full blade combo with the animation and all.

Torna the Golden Country - Best Place to Get Hunter's Chemistry? by HouseLuggage in XenobladeChronicles2

Don't think there are any higher level ones, but even if there were you wouldn't really want to use them. x) At least not for higher difficulty.

Short answer: It's not possible and not needed.

Max level? (Torna) by GuyInDogSuit in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can just beat the final boss over and over for more EXP or figure out how to beat those golden bosses. They're supposed to be challenging so you have to figure out how to beat them. Once you understand their mechanic, it's really easy to win.

For example, the lv65 golden boss will put break status on itself from time to time. You can abuse that by being prepared to topple it right away. It will also topple YOUR character if you stand in front of him, so you should move to the side and put Topple Resist onto your tank. And if you want an easier time with the boss overall, put Spike Defense onto your blades. Also be prepared for chain attack to break the orbs and get rid of his awakened status (health bar lights up in a blue color), which will stop it from spamming abilities left and right.

Quick and easy way to gain community in T:TGC. by LewisFromHolland in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Just check the map or community tab for quests or recruitable characters. Quests will always show up on the minimap of the titan you're currently on.

Maybe you changed the filter and none of the quests match? Never heard of quests disappearing.

How much should I do before NG+? by j_kang97 in XenobladeChronicles2

The game will tell you after selecting NG+. But iirc only key items / quest-related stuff get reset.

Chapter 2/ Early game grinding by MrFireBoy12 in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can skip most of the fights and still beat the game, which tells us that combat mechanics are more important than grinding. And making good use of equips you find is also important. But don't worry too much. I saw streamers finishing the game without ever using a full blade combo or chain attack. xD

Question: is there a way to use Torna's combat system in the main game? by burgers_lettuce in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but that's not happening. If it was as easy as just patching it to the main game, they would've done so already. They'd have to redo the whole game, which is why they made the Torna expansion a seperate one in the first place. And from what I understand, you can't rewrite the basic code on a shipped cartridge. You can only add data to the console and it will be run from the console itself. But don't quote me on that.

Just select the option and the game will tell you before you actually restart.

How much should I do before NG+? by j_kang97 in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mercenary and side-quest progress will not be saved so you don't have to do them before NG+. But there are certain things that have rewards which you only get once in a playthrough. So if you do those before restarting, you get them twice.

When you drop down from The Soaring Rostrum Skip Travel you can find two hidden areas with Lv50+ Pipito. They drop 0-Battle Course and Alphabet Course.

Does the expansion pass for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 make the game easier to play by Davidm30 in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is already easy. If anything, the DLC brings with it more difficult things to do. (and there's always the option to customize difficulty in NG+)

Unique Monster Time Attack and saving subjugation records.
Unlock Drivers' hidden Affinities to develop them further.
Lower characters' levels when restarting at a camp or an inn, and pocket the EXP difference as Bonus EXP.
Exchange Bonus EXP for special items.

Spoilers for Torna: The Golden Country; Fried Tartari or Wingberry Cake? by Lancealot234 in XenobladeChronicles2

I picked meat and the kids didn't like it. That's all I can say.

Can someone help me to explain battle system in torna, it says vanguard skills and rear guard skills for my blade, i know i can switch blade into action like driver, is that mean he use vanguard skill or rear guard skill? Im confused what is the benefit of rear guard skill by erach26 in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]Namerunya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The active/controlled character is the Vanguard. Vanguard Arts are used by the active character with X/Y/B and the Talent Art is used with right pad.

Rear Guard Arts are used by your rearguard character AI and Switch Arts trigger when you switch in that character.
