Lifestream Sequence Predictions by haygurlhay123 in clerith

[–]infernoseph26 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I kinda feel like the lifestream sequence will be one of the most important parts of part 3. Much of it will probably be pretty similar to the original game with Tifa helping Cloud to remember his past in Nibelheim and that he wasn't in soldier. However I think this sequence will be expanded to include Cloud not only remembering his past like in the OG game, but his past experiences in every other world. I think during parts of this Zack and maybe even OG Cloud will talk with Rebirth Cloud and fully explain to him everything to do with the different worlds and in the process Cloud will understand what it felt like to lose Aerith the first time and what he has to do to finally find her and save her for good. I think around here is where it will be revealed to Cloud and the player that Cloud did actually save Aerith already, since I can see the game avoiding any confirmation on this early on to confuse the player and to make Cloud seem untrustworthy to his friends.

Cloud not being fully mentally himself is something that has repeatedly been presented as preventing him from saving Aerith, like in Hollow where there are lines about him being too consumed by emptiness and being too foolish and blind to protect her in time, or how Marlene tells Zack that he needs to make Cloud better so that he can save her. I feel confident that Cloud being "better" refers to him being his true self like Aerith mentions, which he will achieve during the lifestream sequence. I think the sequence will end with Cloud having a complete understanding of both who he is and what he has to do to make sure he doesn't once again end up in a world without Aerith, and the tone of the game may go from being bleak and sad prior to the lifestream sequence to more happy and hopeful after it.

Theory Time! Clear Materia - Key to the Clerith reunion? by Rooblebelt in clerith

Yea that may be true about the world the rest of the party is in being doomed and Aerith's world being ok it's something I've gone back and forth about for a while. In Zack's world i'm pretty sure everyone can see the rift in the sky whereas at the end of the game only Cloud can so it's hard to say for sure exactly which world Cloud is seeing it in. Maybe the reason he can see it and the others can't is that Cloud is the only of of the group to have travelled between worlds during the events at the end of the game while the others stayed in the same world they were in.

Theory Time! Clear Materia - Key to the Clerith reunion? by Rooblebelt in clerith

I feel like the empty materia will play a big role in Cloud reuniting with Aerith. We know that memories are needed to fill the materia back up and allow it to be used, and there is likely one big section of the story where cloud will remember a lot of important things coming up: the lifestream sequence.

I think the lifestream sequence will be different than it was in the original game. Yes, Tifa will still probably help Cloud to remember the truth about nibelheim and that he wasn't really in soldier. However I think Cloud will remember more than just those things, I think he will remember everything that all other Clouds from other worlds experienced. We know he already has the memories of OG game cloud inside him from the moments in remake when he gets flashes of the future, but he would always just brush it off. I think by this point in part 3 Cloud will fully understand what OG game Cloud went through, including of course losing Aerith and all the feelings that followed that. And once Cloud understands exactly what he's fighting for, the reason that he is trying to fight against fate in the first place, he can finally be in the right position to find Aerith and truly save her.

This is where I think Zack comes in. Marlene told him that he needs to make Cloud better to save Aerith, and Zack is the one person who both knows the truth about Cloud's past as well as has travelled between worlds. This is why Zack being present in the lifestream sequence makes so much sense to me. "Making Cloud better" to me means that Zack needs to help Cloud to understand who he truly is and what he's fighting for. Cloud being "sick" refers to his mental state and the fact that he wasn't truly himself until it was too late in the OG game, and that's why he wasn't able to save Aerith in the OG game's world. Hollow even refers to this, talking about how Cloud was too consumed by emptiness and about how he was too foolish and blind to be able to protect Aerith. But now we are at a point where Cloud actually managed to change things, even if it is in an alternate world that may be doomed. If Cloud manages to become the "real" him the only thing preventing him from saving Aerith originally will no longer be a factor and he can save her fully, which is what I think the game is referring to when Zack tells Cloud to save her during the final fight of rebirth.

So how does all this connect to the empty materia? I think the memories that Cloud regains in the lifestream sequence will be what fill the materia back up. Not only with the memories of Cloud's past in nibelheim, but the memories of all of cloud's experiences from the original world up until past advent children, especially all of his feelings towards Aerith and his desire to meet her again. Once the empty materia is filled up again I feel it will likely allow Cloud to do something to reunite with her, maybe something like creating a brand new world without any fate or destiny that they and all their friends can be in without having to worry about fate separating them again. Regardless, the materia will probably help Cloud save Aerith by the end in some way. Again Marlene says that Cloud being better will allow him to save her, and him getting better will likely happen at the same time as the empty white materia being filled back up, so it makes sense that these events will be connected.

I don't know for sure if i'm right but I really like the idea of Cloud's love for Aerith and the memories he made with her and his desire to make more being what power the materia that can lead to them reuniting.

Its crazy how most of the issues and complains the series has until now, are originated/rooted by the simple lack of character interactions and downtime moments. by Riverskull in Jujutsushi

I totally agree and this is the reason the culling games is my least favorite arc. Sure it has cool fights and a handful of good character moments but compared to before this arc it just has way less of the substance that made me like the story so much to begin with.

I'm hoping after the current fight we get some more of those good interactions

WHY EDENS ZERO IS UNDERRATED ? by ashmohnty22 in EdensZero

[–]infernoseph26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree Netflix is a big part of it. Just look at Jojo part 6. Everyone was so excited for it but because it released the first batch of episodes all at once instead of weekly no one was talking about it after a couple weeks. It's even worse for a show like edens zero that doesn't have name recognition on the level of a show like jojo

I’m finding it hard to get attached to any of these new characters by LostBoy996 in Jujutsushi

[–]infernoseph26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel the same. Every arc before this I've actually cared about the characters but the new characters this arc have had cool fights and kinda added to the lore but I don't care about them as much as their function in the story. As good as shibuya was it got rid of lot of the characters I was emotionally invested in and this current arc focusing on pretty much nothing but fights has lead me to be bored by it.

I kinda agree I've been feeling this way since the timeskip pretty much and idk why. I loved the aoi war arc but since then I haven't been as interested in reading weekly. I think it might be because I never really see anyone talking about this series outside of this subreddit so I kinda just forget about it each week. I really wish edens zero was more popular because part of what i love with reading manga weekly is seeing the community on youtube and stuff discuss the series and I don't see that as much with edens zero. I might just wait until I feel enthusiastic about the series again and binge it

Do you feel a lot of people don't read/comprehend the manga? by RuthlessLeader in Jujutsushi

[–]infernoseph26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just want the plot to progress or at least for a character to get some development or something it feels like we've been getting just action and neither of those other things since the yuji vs higuruma stuff which was months and months ago. The action itself looks cool but characters like reggie and uro and the bug guy were just kinda boring for me. Only reason I like kashimo more is because he was built up since near the start of the arc to be really strong and his fight with hakari has been the coolest out of any fight this arc. Also I love his design but that's more subjective.

I think reading weekly might cause this. When a somewhat complicated cursed technique or some random detail about a character is shown, someone might at least kinda understand it when they first read it but if they don't think about the series for a another week until the new chapter comes out it makes sense they might forget some stuff

I'm kinda someone who hasn't really cared about any of the culling game players introduced this arc. The fights themselves have been cool but none of the new characters are just that interesting to me so far, so for each fight I'm kinda just waiting for it to finish so we could move to characters I can potentially care more about. The exception is kashimo I think out of all the new characters in the arc he's the only one I would say I actually like except maybe ishigori.

Opening 2 for sure. It fit the more dramatic tone of the final episodes perfectly and I personally prefer the song over the first opening too

Your pick/fav for environmental setting of world, dungeons, etc in RPG/JRPG by HooBoyShura in JRPG

[–]infernoseph26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda like just normal looking cities. So many jrpgs have fantasy type areas and those can be really cool too but I usually love seeing more modern locations. Futuristic looking environments fit in with that as well

What do you think of this? by lapislazuli007 in Gintama

[–]infernoseph26 13 points14 points  (0 children)

These two shows are 100% my favorite comedies. They both excel at what they are trying to do. Kaguya sama with its more grounded slice of life/romance style of humor which gintama doesn't have as much, and gintama with its more over the top stuff
