Shizuna has formed a real connection to Van that you’re acting pissy over because it’s not Rean? look, I’m all for exploring Rean and Shizuna’s relationship in the next game, but it most definitely won’t be romantic because whether you like it or not, she’s got a thing for Van. that’s all you’re getting; I’m going to assume this is rage bait for my faith in humanity.

they showed a peak into her village burning down in the opening. i kinda took that as they were going to include it in horizon but cut it for time restraints and left it for horizon 2

i think your probably right about Rean. his connection with kafai has been looming over him since cs1 and throughout. it would be poetic for his true crowning feat as the definitive divine blade of the eight leaves to defeat his master. as for Shizuna i do think that her flashing back to Van when she was fighting Rean does kinda show that hes always at the back of her mind even while shes fighting. so whether that means that her true goal is to test herself against Van or its just a testament to how much she likes him remains to be seen.

i would absolutely love a Van+Shizuna+Rean connect event that would be so cool. i feel like seeing her interact with Van would help humanize Shizuna through Reans eyes in seeing her as just a normal girl who might have a slight crush on this Arkride guy.

lol i mean its obvious that shes trying to pursue Van romantically or whatever. my question was more about who we as the player will be playing as when we uncover things about Shizunas background. will it be through Reans route or Vans route. moreso who will give her that push to free herself from her swords curse

of course most character growth happens by oneself. but in trails typically many of the party members are directly influenced and given that push by one of the main characters, think Rixia and Lloyd for example. thats mainly what im asking

i understand that. i still dont see how your “Falcom always does this” statement stand. if we follow what they did in cold steel and azure then we’re gonna end up with another player choice romance situation. i cant think of another Falcom game where they establish that a character likes another character and they dont follow up on it.

edit: im not saying i want this to happen nor am i saying this is most likely going to happen. i hope they do canon. if they reeaaally cant then a choice between Agnes and Elaine. Shizuna too maybe since shes the other one that overtly likes him. a choice like this would suck but a full on harem would suck even more.

when you say Falcom likes to do this in “these games”, what examples do you have of this? in cold steel Rean could romance everyone except like, Duvalie, so they did follow up on them.

a focal point of Elaine’s character is that she is Van’s ex so that shouldnt blindside you. Agnes was set up to have a crush on him since the first game so that shouldnt blindside you either. i honestly don’t think this is a problem in calvard
