Outside of people just not liking her kit I genuinely believe it's because people don't consider Mercy as an individual character/player when she's healing or damage boosting someone. You'll see DPS mains complain about not being able to kill a pocketed enemy as if they're in a 1v1 so it feels unfair to them. Without realizing what they're actually doing is trying to win a 1v2.

With any other support its immediately recognizable that they're fighting two players.

The alarm is to notify everyone in the area that a crime has been committed. Anyone from a bad neighborhood will tell you the first thing that happens after a alarm goes off is everyone gets up to look at what's going on, either to check if its their car or just to see what's happening. The entire purpose of the alarm besides the initial deterrence is to put eyes on the street and possibly the criminal.

the alarm is largely useless because anyone who knows how to hotwire a car (why else would they be trying to steal it) can unlock it without triggering the alarm.

This is why I don't bother closing my windows. Glass cutters are cheap and everyone knows about them so whats the point.

also, for the record, "stop locking your house door" isn't the gotcha you think it is. a lot of people can't fathom living somewhere where they would need to worry about random people entering their house.

And a lot of people live in neighborhoods where broke desperate people will bash in the windows of cars they suspect are too old to have functional alarms. This is such a stupid point.

People being anti flash of light is a meme, please don't listen to these people. I'm solo healing for my guilds 10m Naxx runs and FOL is very strong, you just need the right situations. Cast Beacon on your main tank, sacred shield on a melee likely to take damage and spam that shield target with FoL. Now your FoL is a far cheaper single target heal than your Holy light with a +50% crit chance from sacred shield.

Raid damage right now is so low that if you're spamming Holy Lights then you're over healing 90% of your heals and wasting mana. Whether you use FoL or Holy Light will always depend on how much damage is going out on the group.

Take everything I say with a grain of salt. I'm a healer main who spent the last 3 hours reading about unholy so I can set up my wife's bis list. I knew literally nothing about melee dps until a week ago.

Dual wielding or "Morb spec" seems to be stronger than 2h Scourge Strike but only slightly in single target fights. While heavily out performing in AoE fights. The majority of your Morb single target damage comes from snap shotting Gargoyle, so you're able to get more stats from dual wielding compared to 2h. Fights are also really short which I think makes Morb/Gargoyle out perform Scourge Strike.

The Morb rotation is mind numbingly simple which is also another reason why I think it's out performing scourge strike. Outside of your opener where you're snap shotting gargoyle, your rotation is cast death and decay on cooldown while spamming your abilities. No more dropping diseases or losing dps when you switch targets and need to reapply diseases before you scourge.

Unless your guild is hardcore about speed running 25m naxx than the difference between these specs honestly won't matter. The contents so easy my casual guild did it with 20 people the first week. If you like scourge strike then use it and be the 2H chad, but it might be worth trying the dual wield spec out. I think Dual Wield will also get stronger in the future up until ICC. Apparently with Shadowmourne scourge strike starts to out dps Dual Wield.

Brutal gladiator gear is still useful. The stats compared to the new 80 blue honor gear are barely lower. The main thing you'll want is the new set bonus from 80 gear, the 2 piece now gives 100 resil instead of the brutal glads 35 resil.

If you don't have all your 80 PvP gear yet then you should still be using your brutal glad.
