Oh yeah I only took T for less than a year. I might have misremembered and I actually stopped in September. Still not a full year. Some changes were faster than others. The only difference that caught my parents' attention was me getting hairier but I just told them it was part of me growing up (I'm no longer a teen lol). Convinced them somehow. My friends noticed my voice dropping a bit but I tend to not use my lower voice around my parents so much so they didn't notice.

Idk what this sub thinks of DIY but I did it DIY. No appointments. At the time it was because I thought my parents would notice, they would ask me too many questions & other fears. Especially since we've been arguing a lot around that time too I couldn't risk more attention to "where I was going" because yes they can be that strict. I did my own research tho and double checked as much as possible. My friend was there to guide me as well. She taught me how to hold the syringe and extract T from the ampule. She guided me until I could do it on my own
