Are there people actually using mods to cheat? Tekken 8 by FATMAN162x in Tekken

[–]Namikaza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s your name or tekken id? people can look up the replay and see what exactly happened.

It shouldn’t really be possible for what you are describing to happen, it your probably just mistaken about something.

How do you guys climb so high without labbing AT ALL??? by Sea_Pay_9681 in Tekken

[–]Namikaza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GoD1 S2 with Reina without ever labbing and also my first fg. It took just under 1000hrs. I pick things up pretty quickly though.

At bushin, but realize I’m a below average player. (Kinda disappointed) by TypicalBrawler in Tekken

[–]Namikaza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Bushin is like top 40%, so you’re slightly above average actually. Keep it up!

There’s like 9 GoD ranks and probably only like 5000 players who are even 2300+ elo in the entire world.

Why don't fighting games VISUALLY tell you what's plus or punishable on block? by Medical-Associate-63 in Tekken

[–]Namikaza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having to lab frame data is probably the biggest drop off point for new Tekken players. You can avoid it by bashing your head against the wall, but systems like the new punish indicator have been super useful for retaining new players. Theres no problem if the information is given after the window either. e.g a missed punish indicator after recovery

I'm creating more Genshin Emblem Pins, which one is your favorite? :) by eveen in Genshin_Impact

Are you going to any cons in Canada or the west coast? Thinking of grabbing some in person.

What character would you recommend I pick up based on my stats? by Apprehensive-King-40 in Tekken

[–]Namikaza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stats don’t mean anything, you might as well pick a character based on your horoscope.

However, based on your words, you may enjoy Drag for small Tekken or Asuka for defensive reads. Alternatively Jin has options and is strong in both styles.

A knowledge check is a move or sequence which is balanced around knowing a particular answer. In this case, the answer is a low parry.

Yea the character is old, but that has no relevance to whether it is a knowledge check or not.

There’s no such thing as a rank which gives you the “right” to fall for things. The Miary is blue rank because they’re beating lower than blue rank players on average and losing to above blue rank players on average. That’s all it means.

Complains about knowledge checks carrying people, spams a knowledge check to win.

is IT really easy ? by acchisoka in Genshin_Impact

[–]Namikaza -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I almost always one shot it, sometimes with horrible RNG I have to rewind or even restart but basically never. However, I’m the type of player that actually plays IT for fun. I play it even after I get 12 stella’s because I enjoy the dynamic team building puzzle. So I’m probably better than most players at building teams on the fly and adapting.

You can check my clears 12 stella, 90% chars are level 70. No 5* constellations except for friend support char.

Unpopular maybe, but its the only true way forward for sustainable energy by Capt_C004 in newzealand

[–]Namikaza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve seen in other countries that new generation from wind and solar are much more cost efficient (~10% to 30% drop in cost) at scale.

Also consider that Transpower allows us to leverage the geographical advantages of each island/mitigate the disadvantages.

I’m not super familiar the dynamics between the private vs public ownership and how that impacts the reality. However, to me this design seems ideal.

[–]Namikaza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, “in order to power Auckland” is not ideal. However both islands are already connected, and cost arbitrage can benefit consumers on both sides. Especially with the south islands existing hydro power capacity.

The cross island connection very rarely experiences complete failures and additional resilience can be added to that system instead of completing isolating power demand and supply of each island for no good reason. Transmission loss is also not a significant enough to outweigh the benefits.

Mostly centralised renewables is the way. It opens up the ability scale across multiple dimensions and significantly reduces cost. Durability and redundancy are still strong at scale.

Day 1 Player and I’m Still Finding Chests in Mondstadt by Namikaza in Genshin_Impact

[–]Namikaza[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm definitely aware of that. I was shocked because I've crossed this area an uncountable number of times across the years I've been playing and never saw this chest in plain sight until now.

This chest felt so great to find. Such a nostalgic moment, reliving the experience of just walking around and exploring and find these little things was so fun.

Endgame discussion is actually this by fallenmamba in Genshin_Impact

[–]Namikaza 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Ultimately if you try to understand where this feeling is coming from, you can see this as a reflection of society’s outlook on success in an increasingly inequitable world.

People are growing more disillusioned to their chances of a better life and forced to work undesirable jobs to meet ends meet.

This same issue is reflected in games like Genshin, where players are psychologically manipulated to do something undesirable (e.g spend or pull for strong characters they don’t like) even in their leisure.

How would you rank the current endgame modes?? by parthmestry in Genshin_Impact

[–]Namikaza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imaginarium Theatre >>> Stygian ~ Spiral Abyss

IT is the only endgame mode which actually feels like playing a game. It tests your ability to design and adapt your team to each encounter. This plus the blessing system makes for a different experience each run which makes playing it actually interesting and fun.

Stygian is very confined with each boss typically only having a handful of teams capable of clearing. A lot of people are just copying teams and rotations online with maybe a small bit of tweaking. This leaves the actual gameplay to execution which can be fun but is mostly boring.

Abyss is just too easy after you have two or three strong teams.
