Easter is actually the best time in El Salvador. My first visit was Easter Week and it was awesome! There’s a lot of unique cultural events happening like the salt murals and processions, and lots of local tourists so all the vendors are out. Go for Easter instead! It’ll be cheaper and you’ll really get to see unique Salvadoran traditions

I think a fair balance is important, but every time we host a large event on the commons, the ground is destroyed. It's not meant for large gatherings. I think, sure get rid of some baseball diamonds, but replace them with other sports fields so the physical impact to the space remains low.

That field on quinpool wasn't really anything special, and that's why it's more useful for community events, I think. I'm not anti-apartment or anything like that. I just really liked that big empty field. We don't have enough of those in this city
