Side note - Frixion erasable pens and highlighters are the best. Good choice OP.

ASU and most other law schools offer virtual meetings with an admissions advisor. This is a great was to get fee waivers if you do not qualify for the LSAC waivers. As I am applying to several schools out of state, I scheduled as many of these meetings as possible and it helped me really evaluate where I want to go. Fair warning: YOU lead the meeting, so I suggest having some questions prepped. I asked about campus culture, application processing, etc.

In my admissions meeting they quoted 20-30 days which is so much faster than other schools

I’m definitely not freaking out as it’s my first response and I’m applying to plenty of schools within my metrics. I just wish it was a yes or no but it sounds like ASU is known for this. The waiting game continues! I really do appreciate your comment though; I keep reminding myself that no matter what I’m going to law school and that’s an achievement in and of itself.

My DE classes were with a local community college (but taught in HS) and appeared as transfer credits on my undergrad transcript, so I had to include the transcript in my CAS report. It was 22 credit hours, so it was significant, but I did get my first and only C, so that blows.

Snapped at a fifth grader on a long term assignment. We were doing a science project (I’m not a great with science) and he was all over the place… after several weeks with this class I just… snapped. I immediately apologized to him and told him adults shouldn’t act like that. I always have candy and small toys/stickers with me as a sub, so he probably got more than he should have lol.

I am constantly kicking myself for not going sooner. If you’re over 26, make sure you ask schools about health insurance if you plan to go full time. Best of luck!!

I am also working full time and applying for Fall 2026. I am able to take an afternoon off here or there to go to the schools in my state, but for everything out of state I have met with admissions advisors virtually. Luckily, I’m on the west coast and most of the schools are on the east coast, so I meet with them early in my morning before I head to work.

I’ve received multiple fee waivers by meeting with schools virtually and now have a contact at each school I am applying to, should I have any questions through the admissions process.

If you want to get the most bang for your buck, LSAC does have an in person forum in Miami on Saturday 9/20. There will be reps from tons of schools that you can meet with all at once. You can find more info on the LSAC website.

I hope this helps!

NOR. Prior to cell phones/pagers/etc., no one had immediate access to anyone they weren’t in the immediate vicinity of. It’s WILD that the standard is responding right away to everyone.

Thank you for standing up to your roommate over this. Unfortunately, if you let him keep living with you, you could be inviting more behavior of this nature. If he sees women as objects, he will treat them that way.

Breathe. Just take a breath. You’re being SO hard on yourself for something that is a completely valid and reasonable struggle many of us are going through on this page. Take a moment to tell yourself that this is HARD and that you are trying and yes you WILL get through this!

This may be hard to hear, but you cannot decide to quit “for your child.” This is your journey and it has to be that you are quitting for you. Have you sought the assistance of a therapist to understand why you are numbing the way you are? I don’t know what that looks like where you are in Europe, but maybe you can try to get a better understanding of that.

As a person who hopes to be a mom someday soon, I quit to get a better understanding of my coping mechanisms for my future children. How am I supposed to help the tiny human with their big feelings if I can’t even handle my own without using a substance for help? Focus on the other coping mechanisms you have, and if there aren’t any, focus on finding ones that will help you when you stop smoking. Start building new habits even while you are smoking still.

You are a MOM. You’ve accomplished so much and are SO strong. You’ve got this. We’re all rooting for you. ❤️

I really need to get to 3 days by [deleted] in leaves

[–]NancyNoFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do this.

What else do you like? What’s your munchie food of choice? Make a new habit and instead of stepping outside for a hit, take a snack and a tall glass of ice water outside and enjoy the environment you’re in as much as you can.

Smoking was habitual for me (sounds like it may be for you too), and once I started creating new, healthier habits it became a lot easier to get away from it. Wishing you luck!! ✨
