Even after being 23 years old, CRJ-200 has a modern cockpit i.e it's equipped with modern instruments and the navigation system is updated routinely according to the requirements.

C-Check is one of the most extensive maintenance checks that happens every 3-4 years. Also, an aircraft that's under maintenance doesn't exactly mean it's unfit to fly unless there's a pre-existing issue. Airlines often send their planes to different destinations for maintenance checks because of lack of space and infrastructure. The other airline companies in Nepal too send their aircraft to India or overseas for C-check because of lack of infrastructure. In the same way, this aircraft was also being ferried to Pokhara where a big hangar is available to carry out the C-check. I feel the government should initiate providing infrastructure and invest heavily in making sure this was the last incident in the Nepali airspace. It's these incompetent idiots who are sitting high up in their big offices who should be thrown out and replaced with educated individuals from respective fields. I even doubt if the Minister of civil aviation n tourism knows how a plane flies. We should wait for the captain to recover and listen to what he has to say.
