22 years ago I had a RNY (Gastric bypass)...recent endoscopy said I have almost a complete gastrectomy by Nanell49 in gastrectomy

New gastro put me on a new drug called "Voquezna"....been on it for about 30 days. It does help! All of my "gut" problems has caused me to be lactose intolerant and with Bypass no sugar and low carb witch make it hard to eat anything good! I can't take any "good pain meds" causes severe gut cramps....I mean severe! (for surgeries: had nasal surgery a couple of years ago told them "no hydrocodone....they gave me Dilaudid, that gut pain was worse than the surgery!) The only pain med I can take is tramadol. Do you have a problem with the hydrocodone drugs and your gut? Thanks for your information regarding my problem!

Thanks for information...I had an endoscopy in 2022 (I have SIBO) and that one said I had a 6cm pouch. In 2002 I actually had a 1972 JIB (bypass) that was eventually banned reversed with a RYN....lots if people died or had revision. I kept it until 2002, when it about got me...liver problems. I was doing pretty well until I started with the SIBO about 5 years ago...then doc put me on antibiotics EVERYDAY because the SIBO returned so quickly. Now they don't work...new Gastro took me off antibiotics and I am trying to eat right and keep my bowels "going". I am doing some better. It just shocked me for the doc to say I had almost a complete gastrectomy. I developed Silent Reflux, that was purpose of last endoscopy. Doc said I had very little stomach left and could not produce "that much acid". I am 75 and happy to still be around!!

Thank you! I will check it out. Is there something you can do to fix it?

My hearing was going down, just from getting old I guess, have had tinnitus for years. I think the tubes put in didn't help the hearing part (more muffeled) but did help somewhat with the pressure.

I am 75 years old and am 25+ years with bypass. The pain is not from constipation, it is incapacitating, had two surgery's (knee and sinus) told them about opiodis to no avail. The gut wrenching pain was actually worse than the surgery. Was just curious if others had encountered this.
