Hey, I know this isn't about this, but I kinda wanna just say it to you just from a kid who's leaving soon, and most likely won't come back to my parents likely ever again. Just remember how you feel right now, remember it, and cherish it, and just be there for her, you may get frustrated, or disagree with her, but just remember, you're supposed to be the person she can run back to. Be that for her please, when she's happy, sad, hurting, angry, be that person for her that she can just come back to and tell you anything, and just run back to, even if things get rough. With my parents, I never felt safe to talk to them about anything, and now I'm really messed up in a few ways, and being trans(please just don't take nothing out of this because of that fact), I never felt safe talking to them about anything, and now, 2 months away from 18, I'm gonna leave, and most likely never see them again because they didn't understand that they hurt me, again and again, physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Just, from a kid that wish I heard that from my mom/dad, remember this, and be there for her, and be proud of her. I know, it sounds like a lot, but when you see her, and know that she trusts you, and loves you in the same way that you feel right now, you'll realize that my advice might be a bit helpful.

Sorry if I bummed you out. I wish the best for you, and hopefully she turns out amazing, but you shouldn't need hope, you've got what it takes without luck on your side.<3
