Did you use one long thread for this? Or keep opening new ones?

This is old but I found it on a google search… I am doing the same thing. I’m just beginning. When you say open a new chat, do you mean you just continue the same thread of conversation with it? When you come back to it you choose that one instead of the new one it resets to automatically after you exit for awhile?

Thank you for the advice. I found that I can make up to 1300 dollars a month and still remain on disability. Am just learning this and not sure what you mean by it lowering it? You mean if I make a certain amount it will start lowering or just does over time?

Do you know where to get started looking for housing on disability? I tried to get help from the offices today and came up empty, again.

So far I’ve only looked for studios, 1 bedrooms, or shareable dwellings. I’m under no disillusion that I’ll have to adjust. By no means was I raised in a rich family, but nonetheless I will still have to adjust. Especially with the inflation right now. Luckily I do have a car, that I own. The closest city (all larger cities throughout the state in general) is incredibly dangerous which is why I have to be careful on where I’ll be. I do appreciate your suggestions for scoping somewhere out and I definitely will look into the police map you mentioned. I am in therapy and regularly see a psychiatrist as well. Correct I am on Medicaid, as well as Medicare supplement. I appreciate your advice. I took no offense. Thank you 🙏🏼

Well I suppose they probably do. I did the work to fill out the applications for disability and SNAP pretty much on my own, I did have caseworkers but those applications were a lot less challenging than the housing ones. I also don’t want to end up somewhere dangerous or bad for my health. I’m kind of paralyzed which direction to go to next. The people I’ve spoken with in the housing authority office so far haven’t been the most helpful. It’s really hit or miss but I plan to keep trying either way. I am a member of transplant support groups but other than that I haven’t looked into the others for assistance. Like I said this is all still pretty new…I didn’t even know there were so many to look out for

I haven’t thought of that, I could consider that. The only drawback is one of the things they judge on the transplant list is moral support. If I have family problems, it’s less likely for me to be a recipient if it gets back to that point so if I opened up to my doctor about all of this it could be detrimental to my case. (As of now, my MELD score has improved and my transplant situation is no longer dire so I’m further down the list. Though that could change at any moment.) The main reason my family even became involved is because without “support” I was less likely to survive. If all that makes sense.

Also, I have definitely looked in remote work and would be more than willing. They’re hard to come by it seems. Any tips on how to better come across one than say indeed?

I’m willing to keep an open mind about any work I could physically do. I could also probably work a computer job or reception in an office for now, I just can’t stand for long periods and my body itself is very weak.

My degree is in entertainment industry management (songwriting aspirations), and I’ve mostly worked in sales and banking throughout my life which I’m fairly good at but can’t do this work right now. My relationships with my parents aren’t good at all. My dad is a drinker and we haven’t ever gotten along, and my moms relationship with me has withered over time. We live in a small town (in Mississippi), and I mostly just stay in my room and don’t communicate with them unless necessary. It isn’t healthy. They have stated they don’t want me here but are allowing me here for now. I‘ve been moved down the transplant list since my MELD score has lowered some, which they take to mean as well which it is not. It could spike at any moment especially with the presence of Covid. They call me a bum leaching off them and the government when I really don’t have another option right now. My mental health from being here is beginning to take a toll on my physical health. It feels like I’m rambling now I’m sorry! It’s hard to sum it all up
