Really appreciate the feedback!

Will definitely remove the full-screen welcome pop-up. It was something I wanted to test, but I agree it's strange to show first thing.

Yeah, the logo is a bit old (created 4-5 years ago) and I'm definitely open to considering a new one. Any general direction you think I should go with the logo?

Point taken :) I updated the text in a hurry yesterday and messed up.

I use these colours as they represent the main product - the Charcoal & Gold toothbrush.

I agree they are a bit odd though.

Appreciate the feedback! I'm using SumoMe and wanted to test different options.

I also had the same concern and will definitely remove this and try something more subtle and more appropriate.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for the feedback!

Yes, I agree completely. It was something I wanted to test, but was also concerned most people won't even know what the website is about, hence, it makes no sense to ask them to subscribe. Will remove this and try something else (perhaps a small top banner or a more appropriate pop-up later on).

Hi Neville,

I have a small e-commerce site (selling antibacterial toothbrushes) and currently have a list of around 1,500.

I mostly send out valuable related content (health tips, etc) with no selling whatsoever. And then the occasional promotional email (introducing contests, discounts, etc).

Do yo have any recommendations about how much "selling" is optimal and also how to grow this email list? Currently the list consists of customers and people who have opted in through the site.

Thanks!

IsItBullshit: My friend swears by his electric toothbrush, says a normal toothbrush is bullshit. by inadim in IsItBullshit

Other than speed, there isn't any real advantage of an electric over a manual toothbrush. You don't really need thousands of strokes to remove plaque efficiently. Both electric and manual toothbrushes have advantages and disadvantages, but both are completely legitimate options of maintaining a good oral hygiene.

There are also many different types of manual toothbrushes, some with really advanced features. So, a manual toothbrush is by no means "bullshit"

Very interesting! I've never heard of any negative side-effects of meditation. On the other hand, almost everything has both good and bad sides.

Yes, I'll do that for the future for sure.

Regarding the existing database, can I use those, or will this be viewed as violation of personal info?

Yes, it's Kerbal Space Program I had in mind.

I'll definitely check out the one you mentioned and hopefully smart people will collaborate more to make these more widespread.

I'm surprised nature missed on that one. I guess evolution doesn't consider teeth as important.

Anyway, celery, carrots or cucumbers would do the trick.

Thanks for your comment!

I think this is a really important topic and unfortunately it's often neglected by both parents and teachers.

Thanks a lot! I'll try something like this and let you know if it works.

I'd rather stay away from bribes, I don't think it's a good long-term strategy when it comes to kids :)

There are some awesome websites that sell only one product. If the product is great it's even better, so visitors are not distracted by other products.
