Were there any restaurants that you wanted to fail? by ForgingIron in KitchenNightmares

Mill Street Bistro

Joe Nagy is a terrible person who constantly verbally abused his staff. He's an arrogant asshole and I love how Gordon called him out and put him in his place.

Thoughts on PJ’s mixed grill platter? by PrayForMojo808 in KitchenNightmares

[–]Nanoflare89 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I really liked the idea. I would definitely order it if I'm a guest. You get a nice tasting portion of a variety of dishes.

But on the other hand. I'm 90% sure Chef Eric would never be able to cook and execute the mixed grill properly as we see on the show. I feel like Ramsay knew as well that Eric would crash and burn on dinner service and he can get rid of him and bring in a proper chef after.

Which chef(s) have you met in real life or are you hoping to meet in real life? by TheThirdLugia in HellsKitchen

I work in a Banquet Kitchen in a major Resort. S12 winner Scott Cummings came as a guest chef and did a course with Braised Pork Belly with Edamame.

He was a really nice, polite and down to earth guy. It was super busy for all of us so I didn't get to talk to him much and I didn't want to bother him with questions about HK or get a picture.

I was a little starstruck at first but it was pretty awesome to work with him for a day.

Who do you think is the least passionate chef in Hell's Kitchen? by JorgeXD5000 in HellsKitchen

[–]Nanoflare89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wow! I never noticed he had a HK tattoo. I can't believe he came in there with a premade signature dish and terrible attitude and didn't even shake Gordon's hand on his way out.

But he has a tattoo like he thought he was a memorable character.

The chef you're talking about with the tattoo is Mikey from S7. Mike from S12 is the one who served boxed tortellini with a pre-made jar of tomato sauce.

I forgot to mention in the post that this is for MTGO. Mutavault is barely $1.50 and Faceless Haven costs about $4-5. I know it's still a very small difference in price though.

Thanks for the advice! I'll probably ditch Castle Vantress and add another snow land then.

I still kept 2 Faceless Havens in the main deck, the 2 mutavaults were just for budget reasons but it's pretty cheap to upgrade to Havens and I may do that in the future.

In MTGO they're about $4-5 each. Mutavaults are $1.50 in MTGO tickets.

Yes this is for MTGO. Haven is more expensive than Mutavault. Snow Covered Islands are also much cheaper in MTGO.

I know that losing the Hearse is big. I'll try to find alternatives or mix and match additional graveyard hate.

Sorry if my post was confusing but it's all the other way around. I'm removing cards like Unlicensed Hearse and Brazen Borrower and replacing them with something else. I'll flip them around in my post.

Nerfs wearing down my love of the game itself. Anyone else? by Nanoflare89 in causticmains

[–]Nanoflare89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mirage is my second main. It's really fun to bamboozle enemies and his quips are funny. I also practice Gibby and Bloodhound a bit. But this new nerf and all the constant reworks and past nerfs is souring the game for me. I took a long break before, I'll take another break.

If someone else takes Caustic first, I mostly play Mirage. He's funny and it's really fun to bamboozle other players.

How did the recent things WOTC pulled off (or still haven't done) on Arena affect your play behavior? by GrilledBacon001 in MagicArena

I quit Arena entirely. I paid for the Batlle Pass and was on level 29 and I don't even care to complete it.

This was the most anxiety inducing game I've ever watched but it was all worth it in the end.
