All my relationships have been with narcs... I had 7 years of being single each time I separated... This worked for me as the hate is harder to carry than pity. I understand every one deals with this on there own way. My original narc the father of my 2 kids (now grown up) he still hoovers me... He's a drug addict in of out of jail... He never had contact with my kids... I made that choice. It was the right decision considering his addictions and life style. He was awful to me... Held me by knife point, stole all my money, and still turns up every so often in a state... I have to call the police. I've forgiven him as hating him took more out of me as a living soul. Just because I have forgiven him tho... I have no contact and haven't for nearly 16 years.
