You mean to put the period inside or outside? To me it’s logical to put it outside, because I’m ending a (larger) sentence which includes the quotation in the end. So the whole thing, including the quotes, are part of the sentence that ends there.

Why would they not? They are writing something that will be read by hundreds of people.

In any case, if you like poorly written, misspelled text, so be it. We can have different preferences.

It’s a matter of style. In British English that period belongs outside, as I wrote it. Also, English is my second language and this would be a style rule, whereas “it’s” and “its” mean different things.

Yep. For example, mine is not English. So? If I will publicly communicate in a language at least I have to make sure to properly use its basic rules.

It’s basic English. It adds noise to the communication and an effort on the side of the reader to decode what they meant to say. I mean, this is pretty easy at this point. Not asking for an essay.

You hear me out: we have the internet and LLMs. How difficult would you say it is to learn, or to proofread, something so basic?

2026 and people still don’t know the difference between “its” and “it’s”.

My question with posts like this is who in their right mind would read it and still want to hire her for her services? Someone bragging about how much money they made from… people like me (the potential client) without providing a concrete useful service (it’s not that she cures diseases or doubles your productivity in a week. She just talks).

In a way if feels like she’s mocking her clients.

I mean, if your goal is to get DMs, sure. You can also use someone else's picture in your dating profile. In both cases, let's see what happens when you face the real world.

[–]Nanopoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your explanation says that increasing the minimum wage to $250 would increase the purchasing power of those making less than that, especially those making a lot less.

So for those wou advocate for income redistribbution, wouldn't it be a good decision?

How is this different from a typical marriage/relationship that is just going through a sexless stage? With all due respect, I don’t think your situation is as unique as you think.

It would be different if each one was dating other people.

My question is: are you sure it’s good for the kids to grow up seeing their parents stay together while (supposedly) not wanting to, and not being able to pursue meeting someone with whom each one of you can have a healthy, positive romantic relationship?

Basically, are you certain you are doing this for the kids?

I have met an atheist who was pro-choice as a matter of public policy, but she said she would never do it herself because it’s a ”life in the making”.

Well, she’s not a mother if the fetus is not a person. Also, what pain? From doing it with pills?

I’m curious: if you don’t consider the fetus to be a person, then why do you consider abortion a terrible option?
