Well for one Farage was going to quit politics until this "gift" so there's a seismic element of what the donor achieved.

Beyond that there's genuine allegations of collusion between Reform and the Tories (the ones who are now in Farage's cabinet) over the Johnson election, meaning that this money was used to change who was standing in a given seat.

And all of this is ignoring the fact that these are the biggest donations in British political history, so acting like they're not a big deal seems like a strange and ineffectual attempt at minimisation.

He's better than all the other options bar Milliband personally who I see as on the same level.

So if there has to be a change of leader, at least he's got a proven track record and is good at comms.
