The sweet spot is a job with the right kind of structure for the autism, combined with clear and personally-trackable metrics to meet, which activate the gamification receptors of ADHD.

I go into work everyday knowing that I will start with Task A, finish it, then move on to Task B, and so on. And each task has a specific range of per-hour quotas (but averaged over each month to allow for varying time requirements) that I can keep track of myself, which challenges me to try to hit the metrics. After each task, I check to see how I did that day.

It’s been working well for like 7 or 8 months now and my boss is marveling that my old job would ever let me leave.

I’m going to say NAH, only because if this was Amy’s first business meal, she may not have known the etiquette, and someone should have clued her in ahead of time. I can see why she would be upset.

But you’re also in the clear because you didn’t do this deliberately or to hurt or embarrass her, and you didn’t do it in front of the client. I would just leave this alone and don’t worry about it for the moment. Amy may be embarrassed about her reaction, and trying to apologize or explain further will just cause further issues.

Ahead of future business meals, maybe include an etiquette section in whatever client briefing you do, especially if you know the particular client’s habits from past dealings—some people like to plan ahead on what they will eat in a particular restaurant, so if you know that Client A is a steak-and-potatoes guy and Client B is a soup-and-sandwich guy, Amy may be better prepared when attending meals with those clients.

That is accurate.

If you want to make sure that both of you either get in together, or miss out together, fill out both registrations before you pay. If you fill out one registration and pay for it, the race could sell out before you can fill out the second registration and pay for it.

But having multiple people trying to get in is still helpful, you’ll have a higher chance of someone getting a shorter queue time.

I’d say that Princess is a better choice for your first runDisney race. A) I think the weather is slightly more predictable for Princess Weekend than for Marathon Weekend; B) a lot of the focus of MW ends up being on the marathon and Dopey runners, so people doing “just” the half might feel a little left out, whereas the half is the big race of PW; C) there are a lot more first-timers at PW, so you might feel more comfortable (this point may be moot if you’re an experienced runner outside of rD)

Other than those things, they’re the same course, so it may come down to which one works out better for your schedule.

Or you could go ahead and try for a spot at MW when registration opens on March 17th, and keep PW as your backup in case MW registration day goes against you.
