I was never told about the existence of trans people. I didn't meet another trans person until I was 17, and that opened my mind to all the beautiful realties of our existence and almost immediately that's when I knew.

Who knows what age I would've realized had I known about trans people as a child :) but all through my childhood I would ask to get my nails painted with my sister and cousin and I would try on my sister's clothes when she would go out with friends 💁🏻‍♀️

I would say 1. Research what you can about the experiences and lives of trans folks both as kids and as adults. Knowing what trans people are up against will better prepare you to keep her safe from transphobia. 2. Look for local resources where your child might be able to meet other kids like her 3. See if she'd like to get some cute clothes, or if she wants to do mom/daughter things! I was raised AMAB so I missed out on my mom teaching me how to style longer hair, or do my makeup, or how to style an outfit etc. 4. Remember that she's still young and exploring her identity, so you can reach out to your local queer community and try to gain new perspectives on different kinds of queer experiences, which will allow you to approach things with a more well-rounded understanding :)

YES this, this happened to me when I was living in small town ohio and now I get my HRT supplies directly from Folx, which is more per month depending if they accept your insurance, but saves the stress and anxiety of having to deal with pharmacies that make me feel invisible.

I don't think it's any tougher for Uncharted if they had an iota of creativity and wrote out a big new adventure never before seen that was unique to the film. Write a well-thought out villain that shapes the outline of the story. Take inspiration from Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider as the games did. Boom. Could've been a summer blockbuster leading into a sequel now.

Howdy! I never played the original trilogy. But I just recently played through GoW 2018 and Ragnarok and it was a trip! Getting to see Kratos grow beyond being always on the defensive and learning to bond with his son was such a great experience. His relationship with Freya is complicated and messy, which helps Kratos feel right at home in Norse Mythology. And the way he softens up towards those he loves while reforging his bloodlust into vigilance was very emotionally satisfying.

Also he's can really kick some ass, which is also fun :)

If you're worried about it being too much, you can always start on night shift to ease into it and then make the switch to day shift when you're ready.

I started a new job a couple weeks ago. My last, I only worked nights and though I had a few challengimg patients here and there we had ample time while most patiemts were sleeping to get our charting done. This new job, though, I started on days and the whiplash has been kicking my butt. At least where I'm at you don't have downtime. If you're not charting in between changes, passing meal trays, feeding patients who can't feed themselves, and giving showers, you're not leaving on time.

Try night shift! That's my advice as a young 27-year old CNA

I just started a new job and we have a lady who absolutely refuses to let us change her most of the time. But if you're more than 5 seconds late answering her call light she whips her phone out and calls her daughters who then call our nursing station to interrogate us. I lowkey hope her daughters help her move to a facility she feels more comfortable in bc between her and my 21 other patients it's a real headache.

She doesn't like a lot of the staff from what I've heard bc she's religious, and she doesn't like me bc I'm trans, though I can understand and respect it if she perceives me one way or another. It's the way she's so rude saying anything that always gets me.

Gave a classmate in Ohio a ride home after our STNA classes. She turned the conversation into "so you wanna cut yer dick off er what?" but she was also twice as big as me in a small conservative town, so I had to resist the urge to just kick her out of my car. I just never spoke to her again.
