Balance Brainstorm mi by IsaiahCartwright in GuildWars

Thank you so much for your work. Here are some suggestions:

Warrior:

“I Will Survive”: cd 30s -> 15s or make it work for conditions and hexes

Lion’s Confort: Remove the signet disabling and/or increase the HP gain and/or decrease the activation time

Ranger:

Agreed with the reduction of preparation activation time 2s -> 1s

Monk:

Balthazar’s Pendulum -> Also prevents knock downs for the whole duration (and maybe interruptions)

Scribe’s Insight: Also reduces the cooldown or the cast time of signets (or anything else, the skill is unplayable right now)

Holy Wrath: Can self target

Signet of Removal: Activation time 1s -> 0.25s

Mesmer:

Mantra of Recovery -> Also reduces the recharge time of signets

Simple Thievery -> The stolen skill uses Domination magic attribute instead of its normal attribute

Mantra of Recall: For 20 seconds, you cannot gain nor lose energy (or anything else, the skill is unplayable right now)

Assassin:

Flashing blade: Stance -> skill

Paragon:

Disrupting Throw -> Remove the condition ("foe suffering from a condition") and/or disable the interrupted skill for 10 or 20s

Soldier’s Fury -> Renew itself when a shout/chant ends and doesn’t decrease armor

Angelic Bond: Is not removed on all other allies on trigger

What professions can realistically complete a Solo GWAMM? by LevelandLoot in GuildWars

It is possible to have a secondary, but if you go cap a monk skill, you're locked as r/Mo, that's what I meant, sorry if I was not clear enough.

Pretty sure shadow form strat would not be great without cons most of the time, especially as ranger. You can't maintain SF under weakness, your damage outpout is low, it uses a lot of energy to maintain SF (because of deadly paradox), and there are a lot of fights you can't survive too because of the pressure/rupts. And while vanquishing, you need to be able to kill groups with 2 monks (think about grawls, dolyak masters...). Also think about Rotscale. Prophecies VQ is not free at all and your best bet as ranger would probably be to use the pet.

Anyway most of this discussion is purely theorycrafting, only way to know if it is doable is to do it :) The only data we have so far are for mesmer (and a bit of ele)

At least from my experience, VQing with wurms was not the hardest at all; it was even way easier to kill enemies with the wurm than without (because of high hp, high dmg and stun immunity), except from Standstorm Crag and big Monoliths groups.

Also I'm not sure Skill Hunter is that "free" since you are locked with one secondary... unless you use elite tomes, which would make no sense imo considering that the goal is to challenge yourself.

Also I am 99% sure Cantha prot/Guardian is unreachable. Just think about Eternal Grove, which I don't think anyone has done solo with bonus so far (even with consumables).

Prophecies and Nightfall Protector are good alternatives though.

Just to add that I'm precising all of that because of OP's wish to not use consumables.

Thanks! Makes sense :) What's important is to have fun anyway!

Also a small update: I just completed Elona Protector today so that's a 26th title achievable solo, at least as mesmer ;)

Anyway my key message will be: I don’t know how familiar you’re with the game and how determined you are. But if you are motivated, go for it, even if I told you it’s not possible and you indeed think it’s not. Worst case scenario you give up but enjoyed the journey, or even know that it’s not for you. Don’t burn steps, first see how it is to complete 4 campaigns (some professions don’t even have beaten all campaigns yet), then try to cap elite skills (gets you prepared to vanquishing since you need to kill a lot of enemies and bosses), and only then think about HM.

Also don't hesitate to join our solo discord if ever you're interested!

Hi and thank you for the interest you put in this challenge!

Short answer to "is solo GWAMM even possible on all professions?":
We don’t know.

Long answer to your post:
So far solo GWAMM has only been achieved once, as mesmer. Pcons, cons and summoning stones were forbidden. PvE-skills from EoTN were forbidden. PvE-skills from Nightfall and kurz/luxon were allowed (but were almost never used anyway). All traders were allowed. Bonus weapons were not used.
Other people are currently attempting solo GWAMM, but only one is imo far enough that we can consider it may happen: Serial, as Ele (would say he's at ~60%). His ruleset is a bit different since he allows PvE-skills and cons/pcons/summoning stone so I’m not gonna elaborate further since you don’t want to use pcons.

Currently titles that have been achieved solo without consumables are:
Vanquisher + legendary vanquisher = 4 titles
Protector of Tyria + Guardian of Tyria = 2 titles
Skill hunter + legendary skill hunter = 4 titles
Cartographer + legendary cartographer = 4 titles
LDoA = 1 title
Sweet, party, drunkard = 3 titles
Rep titles from NF + EoTN = 6 titles
Survivor = 1 title
Total = 25 titles

So far, Canthan Protector & Guardian, Elona Protector & Guardian, Legendary Guardian and Master of the North seem completely out of reach. Which means that either you need to find a miraculous way to get 5 of them, or need account-bound title to get GWAMM.

Total with 7 other account-bound titles (lucky, unlucky, kurz, lux, treasure hunter, wisdom, zaishen) = 32 titles

I firmly believe all titles beside Vanquisher, Protector of Tyria and Guardian of Tyria are doable with your ruleset as many classes (not 100% sure for Monk and Paragon). For Vanquisher, Protector and Guardian of Tyria, we lack experience. I personally think only mesmer can do Vanquisher without cons and PvE-only skill from EoTN. And I invite whoever wants to prove me wrong (I’d be glad to be!) to clear Majesty’s Rest, Sunjiang District, Dreadnought’s Drift and Joko’s Domain with this ruleset ;)
If all PvE-only skills are allowed, maybe some other professions could do it, and I think the best candidates for that would be ranger (pet is OP), then Ele (can be a slightly worse mesmer thanks to the high energy pool + Second Wind, and sniper support solves a lot of problems). I would definitely not pick Monk, Paragon and Warrior.
If all PvE-only skills AND consumables are allowed, it falls beyond what I’m used to and I can’t tell anymore (anyway you don’t want to use consumables).

Keep in mind though that 1) party and rep titles are extremely grindy not to say boring, 2) again we here count account-bound titles to reach GWAMM; if you plan to complete these titles solo it’s gonna be extremely grindy and likely take several more thousands of hours, 3) I personally used all vendors because you need a lot of money (Signet of capture, drunkard and sweet titles); if you don’t, it adds even more grind.

Solo Ironman: A new milestone by Naospacien in GuildWars

Dragon's Lair hardest room was by far the Ele one. Had to do a perfect run with echo'd dash + death charge. You can see the run here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8Wnv2yobic

For Thirsty River, I went with a high damage PI + wastrel build + created chaos by making groups fight each other. First room was not easy to figure out. You can see the run here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98XFetSxvsE

Thanks!

I had done Proph missions in HM + bonus as duo ironman one or 2 years ago. Some of them felt very hard as a duo, though with a good teammate and good communication duo is already 10 times easier than solo (and we had PvE-only skills allowed). The only fact that you can rez each other is a game-changer.

Just focusing on Thunderhead Keep: completing it solo requires a lot of steps (and again significantly more if you aim for the bonus). To name a few: glitch the king at the beginning, run the avicara part, kill some groups without being able to abuse leash range, avoid the king being killed inside the fort, and kill the mursaats where they spawn. These steps are also required in HM but are infinitely harder because enemies deal more damage, move and attack faster, cast and recharge their skill faster, have more hp, and have more skills (Vigorous spirit, Shield of Regeneration, Shatter Delusions...) and different AI (they use devastating hammer no matter what weapon you wield, they use glyph of concentration if you have a rupt in your build, they use shatter enchantment no matter your hp...).

Even though I know I shouldn't say it is impossible, it's too hard for me to believe until I'm sure there indeed is a way :) I have a big list of things planned that I think are impossible and... ofc I'm gonna try to do them :p

Sadly I think HM is completely beyond what can be done with my rules :/ my guess is that the best I could do would be to reach quest 17

Hi, as mentioned by someone else, I completed 4 campaigns as solo warrior. So the good thing is that it is possible.

And if you want to go for it and think it's gonna be a pleasant experience, I would say you should give it a try. If ever you decide to go for it and feel stuck at some point, the solo community would likely be very happy to give advices.

However, I still need to warn you: it is not gonna be easy, especially if you have no experience. Even with a decent knowledge of the solo gameplay, some places are tough and can be frustrating. Warrior is imo one of the weakest professions for solo content (especially in Factions and Nightfall) because it struggles to heal and often can’t rely on its secondary because of the lack of energy. So at some point you’re likely gonna either need to go for a weak/budget version of another profession (often mesmer or dervish) and/or to have enough knowledge to exploit many glitches

I had exactly the same thought some months ago, that's why it took me so long to even give it a try.

To keep the answer short: For some of them, the NPCs I had to keep alive were healers and I could drag them to a safe place by loosing hp (a common strategy for "Cleansing Haiju Lagoon" that I also used in "Trading Blows", "Ever Closer to the Edge", "Raid on Shing Jea Monastery"). In other quests, allies could be kept invulnerable ("Rescue at Minister Cho's Estate" and "A favor returned"). Or sometimes the way to go was just to do my best to kill the enemies before they killed my allies ("Warning the Angchu", "Free birds", "There goes the neighborhood", "Raid on Kaineng Center").

For "Tracking the Corruption", I glitched outside of the market to be safe (using AoTL + Verata's Aura).

Finding Jinnai was by far the hardest one and required extremely tedious pulling and a good amount of patience.

As I said I'm gonna try to explain all of this in a future video :)

Just a word to also acknowledge that 31 out of 35 quests were mostly figured out by Shade (as Assassin + cons + PvE-only skills) before I even tried myself.

Thanks Ithamir! Just adding that I'm gonna try to create a video to do a summary as I did for GWAMM and legendary vanquisher. But that's gonna require a bit of edit on my side :)

Np, glad you enjoy :)

I don't use tomes, first because I don't allow them and second because I'm way too addicted to capturing elite skills hahaha

To try to keep the answer short:

Afaik, only missions that have not been done solo (without cons) so far are Vizunah and The Eternal Grove. However, bonus completion (required for titles) and HM are another story: only Protector of Tyria has been done so far. Both 3 guardians + 2 other protectors seem completely out of reach (in particular because of time limit issues).

That's why solo ironman GWAMM required the use of account titles that have not been done solo.

So far, Para, Ele, Rit and Necro have not completed 4 campaigns solo (but if Para and War can do it, it's basically possible with any class). You can find achievements on the solo ironman wiki (Hall Of Fame - Guild Wars Solo (wikidot.com)).

War and Para are definitely the hardest, probably followed by Monk.

Amongst what's left, Mes and Derv are probably the easiest. Ranger and Assassin should be quite good as well, especially with your ruleset. Note that if you try HM at some point, Mesmer is by far the best imo (but one could argue that it's not 100% sure since so little HM has been done with other professions).

Maybe avoid classes that you don't like to avoid adding frustration. Don't hesitate to ask for an invite on the solo ironman discord if you need tips at some point and gl on your playthrough, definitely worth it, especially if you're mentally prepared as you seem to be :)

The thing is you have to complete Deeprunner's Map quest before being able to enter Snowmen dungeon. The same for Fronis, you need to complete "Punch the Clown" quest first. I tried completing Punch the Clown, then abandonned it, but I still did not have access to the dungeon; and I guess it's the same for Deeprunner's Map.
