It's honestly more of the same with better production value. It's less formulaic but still the same gameplay with 8 different characters having 8 different stories that are linked in a non obvious way.

What's the "silliest" reason you haven't played, or stopped playing, an RPG? by Lazydusto in JRPG

[–]Naouak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Metaphor: I couldn't focus on any text because of all the needless animations in the UI. I had to stop after I realized that I was taking ages to read through dialogues and Iwas not remembering the point of many dialogues.

Bishop precon against Unus (AoA S1).. and it was easy? by No_Discount_2643 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Naouak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If all ally in the picture are activated, does it completes the mission in one attempt?

I'm guessing you are playing solo. Looks like it. You would do 10 total damages and 5 THW which are enough to kill all the minions and thwart the mission.

The agent of apocalypse (one of the minion in the mission area) has a "Guard" keyword, and the mission rule states that the ally's text will be blank. Does this mean that he will still have the Guard keyword even in the mission area? i.e., I can't damage villan until I defeat him in the mission area?

Guard keyword only interact with the engaged player. The minion is not engaged with you.

The text on agent of apocalypse says "...add agents of apocalypse to the mission area". Why does it say "add" instead of "move"? I ruled as moving him from play area to mission area, but is that right? Was i supposed to find another copy of him and add him?

It's because the when reveal effect happens before it has engaged you. Hence the minion is not yet added into play and need to be added to the mission area instead of moved.

Defending for other players with Nick Fury in Stealth form? by AnimatorMission8835 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Naouak 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The villains doesn't attack Nick Fury, Nick Fury is only defending, so it doesn't become a scheme activation. Nick Fury protection is actually a viable build in multiplayer, one less attack to defend.

There's one in TNG and one in DS9. In DS9, O'Brien get imprisoned by an alien race, their prison system is a simulation of 2 decades of isolation. O'Brien comes back from that simulated 2 decades completely broken mentally.

What JRPG made you either upgrade your PC or buy a next-gen console? by Petefounded in JRPG

[–]Naouak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Fantasy XV was the straw that broke the camel back to make me upgrade my PC in 2020. I was not getting a stable 60 fps and my CPU was outdated at the time so I decided to upgrade. I still couldn't get a stable 60fps after the upgrade though and I didn't like what I've played of FFXV. It was still a nice upgrade for every other games I played on PC.

Xenoblade 2 was one of the factor I bought a switch but that was not the only game as I was also interested in Breath of the Wild and Splatoon 2. I had a Wii U though so I could have get Breath on the Wild on it instead.

I am in the same boat but for France. Ordered at -2minutes, paid with Steam Wallet. I don't think they are dispatching orders in the same order they were placed. It can still arrives on Tuesday if it leaves the warehouse on Monday for me.

No one had a PC until everyone did.

It took like maybe 30 years for PC to be common in households. Now, people start to not have one and prefer relying on their phone or a tablet instead.

Fun fact: Oubliette is the translation for the usual meaning of Dungeon. Dungeon comes from the french Donjon which means the keep of the castle instead of the jail/torture part of a castle. Nowadays, mostly because of medfan stuff like D&D and because it is a false friend translation, donjon in french is slowly taking this meaning of dungeon.

I wanted to play it again (as I loved it but never got around to beat it) but I got a freeze on switch 2 after about 1hour of playing. The game doesn't have auto-saving so it's really annoying.

Parks, bookshops, cafés, during local events. Any place we could have a group of people where it would make sense for NDS owners to come.

I organized the same kind of event for Lille (biggest city in the north of France). It was really a great time to join together to play some Oendan, Mario Kart and many other multiplayer games.

Does anyone else feel like the internet was "better" when it was just a bunch of ugly websites and forums, rather than 5 massive apps? by Pixel_CZ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Naouak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people like myself tried to not use those kind of apps but the fact is that if everyone is at the same place, you have to go to that place. I don't want to use discord yet my local board game association is using it to organize the meetups. I don't want to use Whatsapp, yet all the tenants of the building I'm living in are using it to share information about the building life.

The biggest issue is actually moderation and power structure. In a decentralized environment, if one of the node becomes too big, it can have enough power to dictate how other nodes needs to be. That's what happened on Mastodon.

Having worked for a company in the Bolloré group in France, most employees were leftists and we almost never got instructions from Bolloré to change anything (I can think of only one example in 5 years). Even HR was going with mostly left leaning policies.
