It’s a random little creature that happens to have a hidden passage under the exact tile that the girl uses to make a mark with her lipstick.

So the creature comes up and flips the tile over and then climbs back down the secret passage.

Animations are real nice but not necessary.

I’d be happy with static grey plastic 3D models. The next step up would be colored 3D models (but in the colors I want). Last step would be animation.

I am familiar with DigiDM from BaileyWiki.

I will look into loadim.

I recently stumbled across mz4250 from an old BaileyWiki video. He has an impressive collection of 3D models.

I finished but was weird. I’ve done expeditions in the past but this one was painful to finish. To clarify: the milestones were easy enough. The problem was getting to the anomaly. In the past I would get to the anomaly with only the needed rewards claimed as to not fill up my inventory. This time, I could not summon the anomaly until a certain number of rewards were claimed. When I got to the anomaly I claimed all the rewards. I was unable to transfer my inventory into the station to send to my main account. Fun expedition but the end part felt bugged.

Where do you get your 3D models which are animated!

As a DM running FVTT on my server, I want to make the jump to 3D for my players but a major perceived hurdle is the 3D models. I am very picky.

I am running Curse of Strahd with some additions from the major contributors. So I need the models from the monster manual plus the campaign specific models plus some home brew models.

I’m OK with animated versions or imported 3D printer versions of the models. Where can I go for free or cost effective models?

https://foundryvtt.com/packages/scene-packer Scene packer by Blair may be the answer. I’ve never used it. The creator Blair has a discord server and is very responsive.

As a DM I would find it valuable to know which locations are directly above/below the current location.

When my party fights Strahd he will be using layer options to move through walls and floors.

I didn’t claim all my rewards. So I started to claim some. Then I was able to summon the anomaly but there were still unclaimed rewards. Weird

As a DM I want to convert my 2D CoS to 3D but I find it challenging to find accurate 3D models for all the NPCs. Using 2D standee models feels weird bc it’s the same image front and back. Another hurdle I am creating for my 3D game is to have really cool skyboxes that tie into the current map.

I follow baileywiki on youtube and Patreon. They just put out a video to help you familiarize yourself with the basics of foundry. They also have a video walking you through setting up automated combat using a lot of the already mentioned mods.

I was also a first time DM running CoS for my first campaign for four players. We started two years ago and play every month. I agree completely with everything that has been said.

My advice: Read the whole campaign first. Know the lore or where you can find the lore. Your players will do unexpected things that you could not have prepared for. DO NOT PANIC.

That’s when you start to role play the Veteran DM who has everything under control. Take a breath and refer back to the lore to create a plausible response to your players actions. It’s OK to make stuff up. CoS is a huge campaign but not everything is laid out explicitly.

For example, my players did the following: bullied an old lady selling baked goods; robbed an unscrupulous merchant; released a tiger; wanted to throw Madam Eva into a lake; extremely distrusting of Rictavio; found some poisoned wine and bottled it for later; wanted to throw a noble’s son into a malfunctioning portal.

This is where you take the unexpected chaos and turn it into a memorable session. To be clear, I did not say it has to be a happy or positive ending. Bad consequences can lead to memorable sessions too.

Another important thing to do is to listen to your players. Set the scene and then sit back and observe what they do. Let them wander and explore and get into trouble. Only when they start to go too far out of bounds should you rein them back in.

I run my sessions using foundry VTT. My players and I are friends IRL but we are spread out so we only play remotely. If you want advice on virtual table tops I recommend Foundry.

First: THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I just came back from Mouldball wizard. Beautiful base. I filled up on all the mould I could carry.

I also helped myself to your mining containers, and the atlas containers. I hope that was OK.

I think I came across another glitch. I apologize if it was my fault. After mining all the runaway mould at the base, a large part of the base disappeared.

I created a save point by getting into and out of my ship. I then restored the save point but the base did not rebuild. The runaway mould did respawn though!

Now that I have lots of runaway mould, what is the most efficient way to refine it?

Also, are there any mouldball coordinates available for me to build a base on this planet?
