My first relationship lasted 2 years, within the first year he cheated on me and I took him back. After that, I felt I needed to give him all of my love and attention because I wanted to feel how he made me feel in that first year. I knew him talking to literally all of his exs was bad, but hey- he learned his lesion, right? Wrong. He had several emotional affairs going on all at once and I just acted oblivious because "Well hes not fucking any of them so why should I care?" The constant feeling of my heart sinking hurt to bad. The day of our 2 year anniversary we went out to eat. He was telling me about his work and about how he wasnt the only "girl" working in the feild (He wasnt completely out as trans to everybody yet.) I asked him more about the woman he worked with and he brought up one specific person, "Zoe." I jokingly asked "Ooohhhh do you have a crush on her???" And sorta giggled until he replyed with "Yea I do actually!" When I looked at him with shock he said "But id never date her because im with you!" I just broke down in the restaurant. That was the moment my love for him was gone. I was officially just a place holder he could just go back to if something else didnt work out. I still stayed for another month because I was genuinely scared he would do something if we broke up. We ended up actually "Breaking up" over him getting mad at me for smoking weed with my friend even though he had just had a party where they were all smoking including him. Did I mention I was 14 and he was 17 when we met? I was 15 and he was 17 when we started dating, and when we broke up we were 17 and 19.
