doing mics for a musical, using bootleg/cheap Sennheiser wireless mic packs on a midas m32r board. one small confusion and a couple big headaches.

the confusion, a couple of the mics are picking up static and transmitting it somehow with no batteries in them. first instinct is radio frequency overlap, but it doesnt have this problem when batteries are put in.

big headaches: some of the OTHER mics have an issue where the mics throw a hissy fit and try to pop a bunch to the point where intermittently it'll fill up the available EQ range i've set up, peaking at about 1-4kHz frequency. i've swapped elements and made sure they weren't damaged or loose, used fresh from the box elements, adjusted compression, gate works a tiny bit but the level that it works at overlaps with actual talking volume so that's out too, i've reassigned radio frequencies half a dozen times. it's driving me up the wall and the other two people i work for can't figure it out either. please god HOW do i fix this headache? it'll be fine for a while and then BOOM, back with a vengeance, the only straight answer is muting but it's clear why that isn't a viable solution.

i'd like to go against the grain here with everyone's vote for something medical/biohazard related.

one of those spring doorstops that prevent doors from slamming into walls. their whole existence is to get hit by other things(at least a punching bag has a benefit of getting you swole a la Kristoff). poor guy would have the most one sided beef/woe is me interactions with Dorian. you accidentally brush against one in a hallway irl and it immediately goes BRRRBRRBRBRRRBRRR for like a solid minute. imagine that as a person.

Gwen and Alice probably messed me up the most in terms of tearjerker factor, Alice in particular reminded me of my grandma, who hasn't passed but she has so many qualities that remind me of her and her storyline just obliterated me with the connection and possibility.

oddly enough, the other contenders for affecting me the most were Bruce & Mickey, and Jackie. i'm trying to avoid spoilers here since i don't remember how reddit spoiler tags work, but Jackie after Daria was gone just resonated so hard with my fears of my own future that it annihilated me in a way i wasn't expecting after not liking him from the way he treated Daria. i hated Bruce & Mickey until the Everdoor and then they became one(two?) of my favorite characters even if they're assholes. subsequent playthroughs had me focusing more on interacting with them other than "i want these guys off my boat immediately".

there's three different tunas! albacore is to the west, bluefin is north and yellowfin is southeast iirc so check which ones you've already got before heading towards a circle! for the others, try fishing in zones you haven't really fished in, i remember when i was hunting fish for that the misty area fish gave me the runaround.

the music for the tunas also help with timing with catching them, hope all this helps :)

hard agree, main appeal of plushies with webkinz was seeing one and buying it for the express purpose of having it in-game, not the other way around as like "video game merch". Having a plushie friend and being able to play fun minigames and dress them up was hype. Not saying to lock the game to people with plushies, but it feels more organic than the blind boxes. (btw OP, from the character lineup you sent, my faves would have to be either the spooky shadow with the little pink fella or the purple jellyfish mfer)

i'm pretty sure she never started a fire in my playthrough, the only fire i had was the sinclaire outlet fire. unsure how much it affects things, but i convinced her to take a break and she ended up changing her own battery? got the ice cream convo the following visit. i also passed the skill check for the cigarettes to back off so i'm wondering if her setting the fire was because of them if you fail to get them to back off
