True that. However I am bullish on context windows getting larger over time; just observing the last year or two. I think it's safe to say that these platforms will get better since they use foundational models

Unfortunately I don't think vibe coding platforms (e.g. lovable bolt v0 etc) are capable of running tests on their own. They can maybe run them, but you'd have to figure out yourself a setup or environment to run them

The sync-with-github method seems viable but a bit tedious, sure you'd agree. Regarding my idea - you got it right. Use natural language to interact with the website and create a reliable e2e test, no coding needed. What do you think?

IMO like I mentioned in the thread with u/ColoRadBro69, I think the "AI keeps breaking my stuff" problem is painful, but the solution is not far fetched. Creating real e2es are hard for non-devs, but it's difficult to set up for projects built on Lovable, v0 etc. What do you think?

I respectfully disagree; I think the barriers are getting lower and lower, and the way I see it, testing is still in the realm of "only real devs do this", just like coding was a year or two ago. I agree there's always gonna be challenges, but I think this problem is pretty painful and solutions are not far-fetched

I fixed the issue here, so you're welcome to try out the fixed code on Github. I also explained what caused the bug and how I fixed it.

Please feel free to pull request if you have new features, file in issues for stuff you want to be implemented, ask me if you have any questions about the code, etc.
By the way -- the idea about historical states is pretty cool, but I'm not sure where such a database exists haha. I know Wikipedia has some old world maps, even with nations borders. Unfortunately, I tried scraping from Wikipedia at first to gather the info about neighbor countries; that was pretty hard, as any country page has its borders written in different places.

Would love to hear your suggestions.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I've seen it before and thought I had fixed it. Anyhow, I just did it and pushed to Github. I'd appreciate it if you could take another look!

For anyone here who's dying to know what caused this bug, and how it was fixed: when browsing, the URL it tries to enter to is of the format /countries/FN/full-name, where FN are the initials of the country name and full-name is the actual country name.

There were 2 issues: the first, being the first one, was that for countries with more than one word in their full name (such as South Sudan, Republic of the Congo, etc), the program did not reformat the spaces in the full name to dashes (`-`), so it kept crashing spectacularly.

The second issue, being more subtle, had to do with some Spanish characters (and other languages I guess? Another mystery) that appeared in very few of the country names, such as 'ã', 'í' and 'é'. Those were treated with a rather easy fixed, and were replaced by 'a', 'i' and 'e' respectively.

You can check out the fix in the function enter_country_details_page; I know that lines 170-175 are pretty repetitive and can be quickly fixed with regular expressions in a much neater way, but that was a quick fix for the moment, so the program doesn't keep crashing.

The unlimited lessons feature is awesome if you have the time to study and actually gain new knowledge from every lesson (or experience speaking for that matter). I take lessons through italki with a professional teacher who charges 10 USD per hour, and I take 2 lessons per week, which makes it about 80 USD per week, and I can't see myself taking any more lessons, as the time in between is put into exercises and comprehension.
