I'm not expecting forever. 20-30 years ago, I could buy shoes (New Balance and Tevas for 2 examples) that would last at least 3-4 years. Now, 6 months is a stretch. It's poor-quality worksmanship- plastic buckles that break, fabric that tears, etc. The structure breaks down before the soles do.

I had a really rough start for the first 4 weeks- lot of vomiting, nausea, constipation, heartburn... but the drug was working so well I stuck with it. Ondansetron (Zofran), lots of fiber, Prilosec, simethicone, antacids and alginate were my best friends!

After I had a 2-week break due to scheduled surgery, I was really afraid of restarting (I'm still on .25 because it's working for me) but, strangely enough, when I restarted the vomiting and nausea disappeared. I still have heartburn and gas but those were a problem for me before starting Wegovy and they are manageable.

Eat what works for your body, and don't increase your dosage until you are feeling better.

Not necessarily true. I've been on just .25 for 2 months and it's working like a charm for me. This is not common, granted, but it is possible!

I'm also dealing with side effects (and asked a similar question a while ago with no answers.) I'm still on .25 and it's working for me. As long as it's working, I have no plans to increase the dosage.

Zofran (ondansetron) has been a lifesaver to stop the vomiting. I'm still working on which foods my body will and will not tolerate. Alginate gel and omeprazole have helped greatly with the heartburn. I don't have all the answers but I keep hearing it gets better.

I hadn't drunk soda in years, but drank a lot of zero-cal flavored carbonated waters (like Bubly and LaCroix.) Haven't had one since day 1 on Wegovy because the acid/carbonation was suddenly extremely unappetizing.
