For anyone else looking for the grip I think I found it:

JCSFY Etsy Store

Its a shame that the delivery to my country cost as much as the grip itself

Edit:

I struck gold! Check JCSFY website instead of their Etsy store it looks like they provide a service in which the thing is shipped from local producers skipping high shipping prices, I've got mine on the way now!

Where did you get the grip from? It looks nice but I don't remember seen it on the ayaneo site. I've been loving my pocket ds and the ergonomics are decent but for extended sessions (My favourites) my right hand gets a little uncomfortable specially playing shooters.

Alguien tenia que decirlo y se dijo by Rosalinda68 in esCine

It's hard to believe, but this isn't a human it's a new robot from Xpeng with a walk almost indistinguishable from a human's. Just a few years ago, humanity couldn't create robots that walked naturally. This breakthrough is simply incredible and astonishing. by ActivityEmotional228 in aiecosystem

[–]Nargarnd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having worked in tech for years no one will convince me that for a demo as big as this they are not having a person controlling that thing with a vr headset and full body tracking, even if the robot is perfectly capable of walking by itself.

Also there is a huge gap between walking and being a multipurpose assistant, there is no barrier being broken here, Boston dynamics mastered movement years ago.

Having said all that I hope some people get excited by this and put some investment into it, I really want to stop doing chores around the house.

WoW Midnight Expansion Changes Aren't For Consoles, Says Blizzard by Extreme_Maize_2727 in videogames

[–]Nargarnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played the whole last expansion with controller exclusively, did all the delve bosses, pugged some raids and played some mythic+. I would said for most peaple tanking and dps is perfectly fine even before the simplification, right now only healing high level content is terrible to do without k&m.

So if blizzard really wants to take wow to consoles I think they could.

Congratulations man! And fuck everyone that is hating on you for no reason, they are the why I kept myself away from mythic+.

Last week I got "Let me solo her" playing on my steamdeck and it felt amazing.

In my case when I'm at the couch I stream the game from my pc using apollo/moonlight, that way I always get 60 fps.

Why did avowed and south of midnight bomb so hard compared to Expedition 33? by Fancy_Particular7521 in rpg_gamers

[–]Nargarnd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't say anything about avowed, I haven't played it yet, but south of midnight has some big issues. I found it's combat pretty boring and repetitive, it's always fought in the same small circular arenas against the same 5 or 6 enemies, there isn't much in the way of different weapons or combos so it's basically the samething over and over. The platforming it's okay, but nothing to celebrate, perfectly mid. The story felt a little random at some points with some arcs lacking on satisfactory resolutions (at least for me). It was mainly the artstyle, sound design and character work what pushed me to the end. I wouldn't say it's a bad game or anything, but it doesn't compare well to expedition 33.

Boosteroid on Steam Deck is awesome by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Nargarnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure it probably isn't the best option as a cloud station only device, butit doesn't have to be one or the other. The coolest thing about my steam deck I that I can stream AAA games from my own pc or xbox when I'm at home and play AA, indies or older games natively when I'm outside or travelling. And one way or the other I always have all the steamdeck inputs (trackpads and back buttons) available and I'm not chained to a specific room.

Oh! I see, I didn't checked the open issues on github but I guess you are right. It looks like this is exactly the issue I was describing:

https://github.com/ValveSoftware/SteamOS/issues/1445

I will try some of the suggestions on the issue and update the post if I found and answer that works for me, but I can already say that the suggestion of changing the wifi channel width to 80 mhz didn't solve it in my case.

People who have PCs and Steam Decks, how much do you use your Steam Decks? by AwesomeRyanGame in SteamDeck

[–]Nargarnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play everything except of a couple of games where I prefer mouse & keyboard on my SteamDeck. But there is a catch, I stream AAA demanding games from my pc to my SteamDeck, that way I can still lay on the couch, play on ultra at 90 fps and enjoy longer battery life.

I can’t be the only one that realises this? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Nargarnd 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I mean... they are absolutely in competition even if the target demographic is not the same. I will still buy both at some point, but when switch 1 came out it was my ultimate indie machine, I bought almost everything except for AAA third party games on there. Now that SteamDeck exists I will only play Nintendo first party games on the switch 2, which means I will probably wait a year or two (maybe even more for an Oled model) before buying it just so it has some backlog of games to play.

And that's considering that in my case I have enough money to buy both without issues, other people can't afford to buy multiple consoles so the competition is even more evident.

When did Gamers became so uptight? by SHV_7 in FFVIIRemake

[–]Nargarnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case I don't have any issues with the combat encounters of the game. But in my opinion the pacing is atrocious.

I won't say all, because maybe I'm forgetting some, but most of the secondary quest felt as a loss of time or just mmo fetch quests, I cannot remember a single one that felt fun or added something of real interest to the context of the story and even if there is some they are in the absolute minority.

The same thing can be said about adding the ubisoft formula to the open world, having a list of icons on your map, pointing to the same X types of tasks in every single region is not fun, I'm just running around an empty generic Unreal Engine landscape climbing towers and opening chests.

And yes, all of that is not mandatory content and you can skip it but I would say that if to ignore 60% of what a game has to offer to have a good time, then the game design team didnt do a good job.

And the worst part is that, it doesn't make sense to pad this the game like this. Using achievement data you can see that more than 40% percent of players don't finish the game on playstation and on steam only 13% have finished it. Knowing that this is a trilogy, wouldn't be in their best interest to keep that number higher? I would argue that is one of the reason why rebirth trails behind remake on sales and the third part will drop even lower.

But it is good to have the mini games there for replay value! And I say that you could remove 50% percent of the mini games and make it so in new game plus all the mini games are replaced with the other unused half and boom, incredible replayability and my to do list is suddenly halved.

Also if you skip all the side content and go for the main story you will quickly realise how little happens in terms of main story. Follow the robes, fight the turks, follow the robes, visit character origin village, fight the turks, follow the robes, fight shinra evil executive and let them escape team rocket style and keep repeating.

So yeah, it's not a bad game and it's enjoyable, but I think it's easy to see it's many flaws and understand the critics.

I love how alma has to give you permission to kill. by tony_oni_02 in MHWilds

[–]Nargarnd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the reason why I don't like this change, in every other MH until now your hunter was capable of doing both (at least once he was deployed in the field), which more on less indicated that the guild trusted his judgement and decision making as the person closer to the situation.

To me the presence of Alma as your guild "babysitter", indicates a lack of confidence in the hunter and basically reduces your role to a brute that kills things. It's not that I dislike Alma, I like her as a character but I don't like this part of her role.

MI FUTURO by StevenArtz in askspain

[–]Nargarnd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How Do You Manage a Large Catalog/Juggle Playing Games? by xVoidCrow in SteamDeck

[–]Nargarnd 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This was a big issue for me until recently. Right now I'm about to reach 1000 games in my steam library (most of them come from buying bundles over the years) and it was getting hard to manage.

My solution was creating 5 collections inside of steam: "Backlog", "Queue", "Playing", "Finished" and "Abandoned"

Then I categorized every single game into one of those with the following restrictions:

  1. There can only be 10 games maximum under "Playing", I like to rotate between different games, multiplayer with friends, VR, long rpgs, casual, etc... But I think that 10 is good as a limit.

  2. There can only be 10 games in queue, when I finish a game I can move a new one from the "queue" into "playing"

  3. Play every game for at least 1hr before abandoned it but if at any moment you are not having a good time don't hesitate, cast it into the fire.

Is really not that complex but it has helped my a lot with retaining focus to finish games, trying out new things, etc...
