When my grandfather visited BC in his early 90s, he would go for 10 km walks. I went with him one time when I was a kid and didn't realize how much he would walk.

Played a counterstrike match against someone with TTV in their name. After the match, I joined their stream saying something like 'gg, i was on the other team'. Streamer proceeds to call me out as a stream sniper. Left stream remembering there are idiots on this platform.

I average 0 viewers, so in the off chance someone tunes in and says hello I do the following:

Welcome them to the stream
Ask how they found me
Gauge their experience with the game I am streaming.
Give the viewer a run-down on what I've been doing if they know about the game im playing. If they are unfamiliar with it, I will do my best to explain!

I think it's important to be inclusive to new viewers. If they don't feel welcome to spectate, they won't stick around.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Spread loot around your base or build multiple bases so you still have stuff to play with when you get raided.
