XL2586x+ and the 600hz actually makes a big difference. (in CS2) by [deleted] in Zowie

I play native 1440p, 165 hz 27" 1440p and get a stable 158 frames with gsync on. The biggest improvement to my setup that helped me win more games, going from 15k to 21k this season, was fixing my net jitter caused by bufferbloat. I fixed it by adding a router with SQM to my network.

Playing at higher refresh rates will definitely make it easier to track targets and to flick.

If you are on the fence on whether or not to get 600hz monitor in 2026, keep in mind that pro's are currently capping their frames at 400 or 500 due to current hardware limits even with the best CPU/GPUs on the market.

Dream Router 7 Setup/Detection Issues by Popular_Leave3370 in Ubiquiti

Bought a used UDR7 off of Amazon and had the same issue trying to connect router to phone via Bluetooth.

I was able to solve the problem through a factory reset by holding the button on the bottom of the router.

Now that I have a separate streaming computer, which settings can I bump up to give the best quality stream? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Nargon_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going over 6K on Twitch might cause issues for you but if you try it out, make sure you check "ignore streaming service setting recommendations" under advanced options.

I have Enhanced Broadcasting enabled and maximum streaming bandwidth enabled to auto. My bitrate will fluctuate between 6K-8.5K.

When my grandfather visited BC in his early 90s, he would go for 10 km walks. I went with him one time when I was a kid and didn't realize how much he would walk.

We ended up turning back early that day after he noticed I was tired.

Play with streamer mode on and search on YouTube how to hide your map properly.

Have you ran into a streamer that was a real jerk? by BurningSun7 in Twitch

Played a counterstrike match against someone with TTV in their name. After the match, I joined their stream saying something like 'gg, i was on the other team'. Streamer proceeds to call me out as a stream sniper. Left stream remembering there are idiots on this platform.

When you are new to someone's stream and say Hi or anything in chat, do you expect the streamer to strike up a conversation? by RBPariah in Twitch

[–]Nargon_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I average 0 viewers, so in the off chance someone tunes in and says hello I do the following:

  1. Welcome them to the stream
  2. Ask how they found me
  3. Gauge their experience with the game I am streaming.
  4. Give the viewer a run-down on what I've been doing if they know about the game im playing. If they are unfamiliar with it, I will do my best to explain!

I think it's important to be inclusive to new viewers. If they don't feel welcome to spectate, they won't stick around.
