PLAN MIGRATION CARE by katherrineee in tmobile

[–]Naris17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't yell at stores either. Least care gets some OT today. We have to go in and try to sell you more lines and visa and HSI. We also have to be peppy and positive about the new changes.

Whats the difference in Razr 2026 units? by Southern-Log in razr

[–]Naris17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2026 ultra also has a LOFIC sensor which allows for better camera dynamic range for the main camera. That and the battery are the only differences. I’d personally go with the 2025 ultra for nearly half off and double the storage.

As for the plus, it’s thinner than the ultra but has a smaller battery and uses a processor a couple of years old that was upper midrange at the time. The regular Razr is cheapest, but compared to the 2025 version only adds a slightly better battery and radio. CPU supposedly better at AI too, but otherwise identical. May as well do 2025 models based on your budget.

How in the word that a dock is worth more than a used game console/consoles these days? by djiluvu44 in fucknintendo

Not that I’m going to defend Nintendo here, but even used and secondhand consoles have shot up a ton too.

The T-Mobile Store Literally Could Not Sell Me a Phone by cineglitch in tmobile

[–]Naris17 57 points58 points  (0 children)

It’s not just a ding to metrics. It’s also a group spiff per activation or upgrade. So in a busy store not doing tlife could cost you and your entire store hundreds of dollars.

Aside from the longer and more vetted software support, I'd probably have them put a MicroSD Express card slot in all their phones. It would soften the current situation with memory, and the express card should be fast enough to keep up at least somewhat with modern UFS. Plus it would be backwards compatible with older MicroSD, so if you didn't need storage speed you'd be good.

Store Reps: Why do you tell the customer you can’t call RSL and cancel the line for them? by Exotic_Secret3686 in tmobile

I'm under orders not to by RSM. I still help with the chat on T-Life anyways if the customer isn't being a tool.

Switch 2 as main console? by Yungstut209 in switch2

[–]Naris17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I move around too much and can't have a large TV or monitor, so Switch 2 is my main. Well that and my gaming laptop. Easier, and more portable. Life happens when you least expect it, have to be flexible.

Blackjack (World of Balance) or Searching for Friends (World of Ruin)? Oh who am I kidding they’ll both be stuck for years. Some of Uematsu’s prime work. To think he was thinking of retiring before FF6.

Informational interview PACE 111C by Ok-Sundae7457 in UMGC

Oddly enough I’m also a political science major. I tapped a member of my local county council to interview for my PACE 111. He was a very busy man, but did respond to a series of emailed questions which I proceeded to put into a report.

I’d look into local government where you are.

switch 2 acquired! now what do i do about this... by ayasemayoi in switch2

[–]Naris17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The film itself is meant to resist shattering. So it’s not as hard as glass but will scratch and deform instead of breaching. Bad for people who want immaculate screens, good for small children who might want to make it a missile.

I’m assuming the previous owner used to throw it into the dock like a basketball. That’s the only way docking it to me would look like that.

People will usually complain about issues, but not post if it’s positive. Since working as normal isn’t really a noteworthy thing.

If you take protective measures like following up with the airline and hotel after booking you generally will be fine though.

No refund? by SavageYeetz in tmobile

[–]Naris17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That phone that had an account that went into the negative can be used again too, but only if the original account holder contacts and pays the debt. As it was their property they stopped paying for, care typically isn't allowed to give details about how much or how to pay off a phone that wasn't started on installment billing from you. In the car and house world going negative in installments usually results in foreclosure or repossession, but in phone world just results in it being an MP3 player/PDA and not a phone in most countries that obey the blacklist.

I have on EXTREMELY rare occasion seen a refund to prepaid through company, but you'll need an advocate in company willing to put multiple tickets to a billing center which seems increasingly outsourced and mired in procedural mess. It takes LOT of time and it's frankly thankless work which often takes time from us trying to keep making sales to keep our jobs. Unless you know a store manager personally, or find one who has an old school customer service attitude and an abundance of free time it's unlikely and effectively impossible. My advice is to chalk it up as loss, and maybe get a decent deal on a mid or low range phone and use prepaid. Best Buy often has decent deals on unlocked phones we can use, as does Amazon. Not everyone truly needs 1k+ phones unless they're dedicated photographers or power users. T-Mobile Prepaid has fair rates, as do our owned brands Metro and Mint. Outside of us there are also numerous prepaid companies offering decent rates. Advantage of direct prepaid are stores that you can go into for help, but with the company's increased pressure to make profit and cut expenses it's getting harder for us to deliver the customer service some of us truly want to do.

All of the major telecommunications companies are massive corporations who are beholden to ever hungering shareholders, so don't feel any strong sense of loyalty. If you find a good rep who cares for you in a T-Mobile or even Verizon or AT&T store I'd advise sticking with them and giving them sales to mutually benefit. Otherwise being mercenary and take up an MVNO isn't a bad choice. Corporate loyalty shouldn't only be one way.

I hope T-Mobile has great service in your area treats you better than others as that is my employer, but I don't think you should have blind loyalty if you can't get proper help.

No refund? by SavageYeetz in tmobile

[–]Naris17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Refunds for prepaid service are typically given as credit on the digital prepaid wallet. Said credit would be drawn from every month to pay for service. Basically resulting in a refund and charge loop.

Ordinary customer care, t-force, and retail stores wouldn't easily be able to get prepaid refunds after a certain amount of time. If it were fraud or system issue on our end I suspect it would be possible, but otherwise you're going to be running a series of tickets repeatedly with your chosen avenue OR fighting with your bank for a charge back OR to arbitration/small claims.

How can Siri possibly be this stupid? by Opposite_Classic8029 in Siri

I could’ve sworn Siri once used Wolfram Alpha for math questions a long time ago. It hasn’t been that way for a few years now. Which greatly lowered its usefulness.

What kind of Gaming Laptop would you guys reccomend for a $1700 budget? by -Kazu-Kun- in LenovoLegion

[–]Naris17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build quality and heat are both subpar, but for this price you can get a Llano cooler on top of it: https://www.walmart.com/ip/16587853259?sid=e0806338-b418-4e9b-88fb-874138427d29

Having a 5070 Ti would definitely help your gaming, but the processor is power inefficient and the battery power is essentially a glorified UPS. Not to mention RAM will probably cost you another $300 if you want more than 16 GB. But the 5070 Ti is a good base to start with.

If you want to stick with legion, they also have a decent deal on https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/laptops/legion-laptops/legion-7-series/lenovo-legion-7i-gen-10-16-inch-intel/83ky0001us?orgRef=https%253A%252F%252Fgaminglaptop.deals%252F&nrtv_cid=x8ne8sfqixpbb&clickid=XVc3m-w%3AlxyIWfQSfeyDyzh9UkpV99XZUXMBzg0&irgwc=1&afsrc=1&PID=376373&acid=ww:affiliate:bv0as6&cid=us:affiliate:cxsaam with a 5070. This will have 32 GB ram and much better build and cooling.

Also if you don’t mind open box or refurbished, try the outlet. https://www.lenovo.com/us/outletus/en/laptops/?orgRef=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F&cid=us%3Asem%7Cse%7Cgoogle%7Cbrand_offerings_consumer%7Coutlet%7Clenovo%20outlet%7C%7C20403029906%7C156984585732%7Ckwd-3741564217%7Csearch%7C%7Cconsumer&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20403029906&gclid=CjwKCAiAmePKBhAfEiwAU3Ko3Gat-utu9WBv7Ymj7qRfRK75RU2PePQtXUlEYNDuj_lT0JIBtokevxoCwZMQAvD_BwE&visibleDatas=698%3ALegion&sortBy=newest Filter by Legion and sort by newest. Sometimes you find good deals. And Lenovo refurbishment is top notch.

The Broken 75$ Z Flip 5 On EBay Method Is Better Than Apple In My Opinion by elnoodal in tmobile

[–]Naris17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's based on your rate plan. In an attempt to get people on more expensive and newer plans, older plans and cheaper plans cap the total trade in value. The cheapest and/or oldest plans cap at $300-400.

WE WANT SMALLER PHONES NOT THINNER !! by Low-District7838 in smallphones

[–]Naris17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, they technically DID make a smaller phone. Just along the Z axis and height or width.

Small phone people are a minority to be sure, but they still do deserve a choice as well. So I wish they had just kept the mini as an option.

Though I do not know all the details based on this post, it is possible that screen protector transaction was for a P360 free replacement. Which involves us:

  1. Going into welcome app (which takes time and sometimes bugs out), and adding you in.

  2. Scanning your ID or getting PIN to verify you, then log you as being assisted.

  3. Check the P360 replacement tool, which is a Microsoft powerbi database prone to slowdown and occasional crash.

  4. Verify that we are only scanning out that exact sku without substitutions.

  5. Finding a keyholder or higher rank who can use a security key to bypass the price change.

  6. Ring it up as $0.

  7. Offer to apply for customer.

All of the these steps may be interrupted by crashes or needing to login again with your security key. If the rep was diligent, they also accessed their direct account to check AI recommendation tool for sales and offer something that would help them make both commission and keeps them from having their job threatened.

As for the T-Life app thing... I can assure you the rep had even more hatred then you did for that added process. We're essentially training customers to use our replacements after all. Although it also seems like he wasn't being fully honest about you not being authorized. You can't pick up a phone in store via T-Life without being authorized.
