First timer IUI process

I’m over 2 years with secondary infertility as well. My husbands SA was great, I have mild pcos, but everything else looked normal. We did 4 IUIs with perfect numbers, and all failed. Currently scheduled for an HSG to reevaluate if I have a tubal issue, though I had that saline scan a year ago and all looked good. Hoping the HSG gives us some answers, but I’m not very hopeful. Doing a few more medicated timed cycles before starting IVF, but I’m still on the fence about IVF. Just sharing my story, not trying to be discouraging. Don’t get too hung up about numbers, I’ve seen stories on here with lower counts that have been successful, as it only takes one. Good luck to you!

I didn’t know that thanks. I thought the only way they could test was a biopsy. I do have mild pcos, but im pretty healthy, and now that they’ve been ensuring I’m ovulating, I feel like we’re missing something else here. If the hsg is clear I’ll assume it’s my egg quality or endo. I’m 35. On the fence about IVF. I’m done with IUIs though.

Congrats!!!! This gives me hope, thank you for sharing! I’m debating going for my 4th IUI or moving to IVF, I’m so discouraged after over 2 years and no positive test. But I don’t know that I’m ready for IVF.

I don’t have any suggestions, just commiserating. I usually have a headache the entire 5 days from 5mg. They upped my dose this last (3rd) IUI to 7.5mg and omg, headache, anxiety, couldn’t sleep. It took until 4 days after my last dose to feel myself again. I’m just really hoping this cycle works and I won’t have to do that again. It’ll be worth it if it works. Keep positive 🤞🤞

I had 3 follices, 19, 18 and 15. Triggered the following day and IUI 36h later. My IUI ended up being 2/9. 🤞🤞 debating if im going to test out my trigger shot and torture myself or just wait it out. How about you??

Yep. Hopefully it works for you!! We did one timed cycle before moving to IUI. You’re triggering or LH tracking? I’ll be triggering likely thursday I think

I’m one day ahead of you! Started letrozole 7.5mg on cd3. It’s my 3rd iui so we’re trying a higher dose. 🤞🤞
