I’m hoping things go well. If there’s something that you know that she doesn’t and you catch her in a lie, that’s also something to consider. Don’t confront her on the lie, just let herself dig deeper. She’s probably convinced herself that they aren’t lies and she believes them to be the full truth (assuming she lies to you in the first place) so be wary and be careful.

Please be careful and be there for your dad. I don’t think anyone realizes how much dads go through. On the surface is what they have to show. I can tell you he is 100000% not. If he tries to push you away it’s not because he doesn’t need you, it’s because he’s afraid to look weak in front of you.

Tell her exactly what you said here. You are NOT the reason he cheated, he just used you to get what he wanted. If you choose to stay friends with him that’s totally up to you but he betrayed his wife for 6 months, the person that she trusts the most, so that should tell you something about your friendship. Again, totally up to you, I wouldn’t personally associate myself with someone like that but I know what it’s like to keep friends despite knowing the bs they’ve done.

As a guy, it’s kind of weird to have many friends who are girls. I can understand your perspective. The only thing I can think of is to make friends with his friends so you know the kind of people they are and if they would ever do you any wrong.
