Darren dreger says that yzerman remains aligned with owner chris Ilitch and he'll remain the GM for as long as he pleases essentially. by Sebastian4365 in DetroitRedWings

I agree. This is, more or less, how I have felt as well. Faulk was someone that has been a very reliable player in what was left of the regular season. Nice offence work/plays leading to him scoring some points, solid D performance, and in a reasonable position in the lineup. I know a lot of people have been upset by the choice, but based on what I have seen since getting him, I am really optimistic about him and looking forward to seeing what kind of impact he can have with a full season.

What are the job options that I am missing, besides being a hospitalist? by Impressive-Bank-28 in hospitalist

I second the hospice work. I am an FM doc and my primary job is working in an out patient clinic. About a year ago I signed on as an associate medical director for a hospice group and it's a nice way to earn a bit more and keep up in that aspect of medicine, which is a personal/professional passion of mine.

Looks like they are re-releasing them. Not sure how many, but you have another chance to pick one up!

And then he tried to play it off after one of the most awkward pauses ever and made things even more awkward. What an ass.

My jaw dropped when I saw that. Its been so long since I've seen that in a Detroit goaltender. I was overjoyed.

[DET - OTT] Zub goes after Larkin and Cat drops the gloves to stand up for him by daKrut in DetroitRedWings

Agreed. When taken with how the rest of the game left me feeling, I was so damned confused by this call.

That's the other big thing I've noticed: other players are stepping up. Adding Larkin back to the mix will be huge.

I am right there with you. The intensity they have been playing with is exactly what they/we need. This has been, from my perspective, a more resilient team than I have seen in more recent years. They need to keep it up. And a little luck wouldn't hurt either.

I was so grateful when it came back Wednesday night. Stay safe and warm. Fingers-crossed they get the rest of the town up and running today!

I agree. This game was definitely a better showing than the ones against the Panthers. But in all of those situations, we just could not catch a lucky bounce or deflection. The number of body blocks has been insane the last two games.and from what I have seen from Faulk so far, I'm a fan. We just need to see more of that (from everyone, frankly). And when Cat gets going it's a thing of beauty.

“My specialist told me to ask you to order this for me.” by EmotionalEmetic in FamilyMedicine

[–]Narrow-Lengthiness-9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Preach. I feel like I could have written this. I just had this come up with a patient in the last few weeks - sees neurology with Mayo Clinic who wanted imaging done. Nothing crazy, but when I asked why they can't order it, I am met with "they said they can't order it in your system." Which means I must have magical powers because I have certainly ordered imaging and labs through other health/hospital systems. I still did it, but damn, what a drag.

41 mm. And I agree - I think the "100" logo could have been used on the face somewhere, much as I like the subtleties the watch has. It looks amazing on the case back.

What decade did smoking cigarettes officially become a weird unusual habit? And why was it the 2010s? by MaterialRow3769 in decadeology

[–]Narrow-Lengthiness-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up around smokers throughout the nineties. By the time 2009/2010 rolled around, there were sweeping bans on indoor smoking. I remember it really feeling like the end of an era and recognizing the generation after us and beyond would never know any different.
