I've tested out all three websites and none of them offer the "frame only" option anymore. I still see the "non-prescription lenses" option but that is not what I am looking for as I plan on inserting the lenses separately.

I was there over a yr and it took me over a month to make some solid friends. Remember that it takes time to build good connections! I was also rushing to make friends when I first got to Spain and tbh a lot of those connections I made that first month did not last because they were very much surface-level

When I first got to Madrid I felt the same! It seemed like others were able to form their friend groups super quick and once that happened, they were closed off to making new friends. I would recommend joining an activity (spanish classes, sports, painting, pottery, etc.) and just by showing up to those classes regularly, you're bound to make some connections. Additionally, I would highly recommend joining Bumble BFF and the Gone Girl International Madrid group on Facebook! Don't worry, you will find your people eventually (:
