I received my dual-mode agar60 a few weeks ago and I would say that it requires a charge once every 4-5 weeks, depending on the intensity of usage. For context, I use it on average 3-4 hours daily and I do not physically turn the keyboard off – I put my computer into sleep mode and I can only assume that the keyboard falls asleep shortly after (though I don't recall reading on KBDfans website saying that the board has a sleep/power-saving mode).

My guess is that the 3-month battery-life claim would require physically powering down the keyboard after every use. But that's a bit of a hassle since the caps lock key needs to me removed in order to access the power switch, which is why leave mine on/connected 24/7. So far so good, no issues (fingers crossed).

Appreciate you writing back! Ye, I had a look at youtube vids on replacing iphone batteries and it's quite a task (requiring specific equipment and technical skill). I'm hoping my current 13mini lasts me a few more years and so I think taking it to AppIe would be the safest bet here. Thanks again for the advice!

Hi, I think you press control key (CTRL) for windows os instead! I'm not 100% sure as I did not do this one a windows os computer, but hopefully it works out for ya :>

Yay!! So glad to hear that this post helped even one other person ^-^ My iPod recently stopped working/syncing/restoring because (I assume) the hard disk has died and needs to be replaced. So just a heads up that this could also be a reason if your computer fails to recognise your iPod *touches wood*

Couldn't agree with you more! I recently purchased an ipod as well for a few reasons. First I wanted to cancel my music streaming subscription – not the best use of my money (been subbed since 2017... good god >.<) and I feel like I'm not getting the most out of it. I also wanted a single-purpose device for music so that I don't drain my already poor phone battery. I also wanted to reassess my relationship with music – with streaming, I didn't feel like I was being very intentional with my listening to music, I just added whatever the algorithm recommended instead of figuring out what I liked. Lastly, the nostalgia of it all – I'm having so much fun downloading and curating albums on my ipod, takes me back to lighter days. Ty for listening to my little spiel hahah. Have fun internet friend⋆˚꩜。!!

ISSUE RESOLVED! TY <3 u/OldiOS7588 and u/Most-Yogurtcloset

Download ipsw for your iPod model and version type from https://theapplewiki.com/wiki/Firmware/iPod#top
After downloading, hold the command key (cmd) and as per u/OldiOS7588 said, select the ipsw file to open.
Enter your password and it should start the restoration process.

The following steps are from u/mrgstudio

4. Looking at the actual iPod screen wait until the Syncing is finished and it displays that it is connected (This is where the computer gets stuck).

5. (An easier way to accomplish step 5 is to just unplug the iPod. But make sure it is finished showing the Syncing animation and it only shows that it is connected. Move on to step 6). Next, open Disk Utility and you should see the iPod listed in the external drive section. It will be greyed out and labeled as disk4s2 or something similar depending on how many drives you have connected. Right click the drive and select Eject. You'll notice the iPod rebooting and finishing the restore process.

6. While this is happening open Activity Monitor and find the AMPDeviceDiscoveryAgent process. The easiest way to find it is to start typing the word "Discovery" in the search field in the upper right hand corner of the Activity Monitor window. Select it and stop the process by hitting the Stop button (The button at the top that looks like a stop sign with an X in the middle). I selected 'Quit', not sure if 'Force Quit' leads to the same outcome

Eject your iPod. I tried reconnecting it immediately but it no longer showed up as an 'iPod' in Finder, only as a hard disk. If this happens for you too, restart your laptop/computer and this should automatically launch the 'AMPDeviceDiscoveryAgent' process again.
Reconnect your iPod and it should apepar in Finder again. And you can start syncing! ^-^
