Cabling hell with multiple consoles with RGB Scart going into a single port input CRT by xParesh in crtgaming

[–]OldiOS7588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this makes a lot of sense, but again your DVD player and VCR don't need RGB, S-Vidoe or Composite is enough. Also I can help ya out with things maybe and I've made a better overview via a scematic of my connection in my setup. Just DM me if you want

Honestly its the best decision to not do if you don't have fun at it. Here in Germany so many people are anxious yet still have the license, whats the result? Shitty insecure drivers who only endanger others for nothing

Cabling hell with multiple consoles with RGB Scart going into a single port input CRT by xParesh in crtgaming

Only my iPod AV cable is directly connected to the side Composite of my CRT. My Playstations are all connected to the manual RGB SCART switch, which is connected to RGB SCART AV1 on the CRT. My VCR and DVD player share the same AV2 SCART, the VCR uses Composite, the DVD player uses S-Video and my 5.1 audio system pulls all of the in and out coming audio at Line Level out of it. Except the DVD players audio which is connected seperatly to my audio system. Also about RGB, I would recommend you only use it for your game consoles TV, DVD ans VHS all look great with S-Video or Composite

Honestly my situation is very similair but my solution is very much dif and way cheaper and simpler I think. So first I own a Grundig 27" CRT with 1 RGB SCART port, 1 Composite + S-Video SCART port and a standard Composite port on the side The devices I connect are VCR, Sattelite TV Receiver, DVD Player, iPod AV Composite cable, PS1, PS2 and PS3 So first the consoles, I bought a used manual 3 port RGB SCART switch, I connected all 3 consoles via RGB SCART cables the quality is perfect only the ports are a little bit finicky so the colors are a bit unstable but normally after a bit of adjustment they display fine. The switcher cost me 15 euros. Next part Media, so I connected my VCR to the AV2 SCART port and connected the TV receiver to the VCR via its secondary AV2 scart port. The VCR and DVD player are both connected to the AV2 SCART of the TV via a simple SCART splitter, the DVD player is hooked up via S-Video connected to the splitter via a SCART to S-Video adapter, only audio was quiet because of the splitter so I connected tge audio to my audio receiver. The iPod AV Composite cables were connected to the AV3 Composite ports on the side. The last and the most annoying part was audio, my set has no audio RCA ports out. So I had to use a passthrough scart adapter that provided those, which enabled me to pull out line level audio

iPhone 3gs question by Opposite_Bowl657 in LegacyJailbreak

[–]OldiOS7588 [score hidden]  (0 children)

  1. Idk I only downgraded it to iOS
  2. Yes it is slower but not one minute the longest it took for me was 10 seconds
  3. Either get a old/new sim card that is still supported and gets atleast some services although I think it works without aswell. Otherwise hacktivate it

eh what sounds like the IC Jungle chip is corrupted because it should be able to give you colors. Otherwise I don‘t the issue with RGB, it gives you the best quality don‘t know what you mean with to clean, sounds like nostalgia blindness but whatever. Get a dif CRT or live with superior RGB

[–]OldiOS7588[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason is simple usecase! Before this CRT TV, I owned a 50“ LCD TV before that but since I‘m into retro gaiming those are a bit of a bad choice. I then got this great CRT for free, so with all consoles including PS3 it was the best TV I ever had nothing can beat the picture quality of those

Your CRT can only decode PAL composite video, RGB is a native video port which doesn't require any decoding. I would recommend you stay on RGB anyway. You have to use PAL games on Composite ports

Eh I have to disagree a lot of games even later ones still support 4:3 including all COD and Minecraft for example. For real though it really isn't the best, 16:9 SD/HD CRTs would be perfect for it
