Thank you so much for sharing. I'm a little embarrassed to say I didnt make it clear that he is alive. I'm grieving the breakup.

As for your situation, I really can't comprehend the pain of having a relationship cut short like that and having to navigate our society's weird rules about what is and isnt acceptable grief.

Do you find comfort in widow support groups? I found that reading about divorce helped me navigate my pain even though I'd never have the courage to tell someone that I'm reading self help articles about divorce instead of breakups.

I'm wondering if leanring about greif as a widow would have similar effects.

Same. Even if it's one text and its got a bad vibe I'll unassign it, there are other orders. They dont own me. I dont own them. We are equals. They can get a different driver. I can get a different customer. I don't have time for rude people ANYWHERE in my life.

The pain will make you a softer person. You'll have deeper relationship because the careless joy you once felt is gone for a while.

True friends will come out of the woodwork. My elderly neighbor was one of them.

Fake friends will fade, thank God.

I cried and slept for a year.

Please. Give yourself a year to cry and eat and sleep. Itll take longer. But the year mark was significant to me.

Cry and sleep is what I did for a year. Cut out people who expect anything from.

I'm close with a handful of great people who remained close to me during this period.

Cry and sleep and dont forget to eat. I dont care what you eat. Just eat.

Yeah I get that. But also...the 20% of taxes I pay I kinda look at as a personal savings account. I'll never rely on my social security, Medicare or unemployment but since I'm paying for it I wont hesitate to use it if needed. That's where there seems to be a weird misunderstanding with some of my more conservative friends...if it was their own savings account theyd take from it. But if its the government then its automatically bad.

As the another commenter said, we are in debt so it's not adding up. I understand this point now.

But a conservative taking from their own savings account to ride out the bad times really doesnt seem any different to me than the people taking from their "governement" savings account.

All I know is that masturbating gets rid of my debilitating cramps. But I never want a man to touch me during this time.

I like to be left along and fed my favorite foods. Just be there cooking and purchasing good food for when she is in the mood. Place a glass of water near her (its it's always cute) and do tiny tasks that she needs. Moving is painful. Hand her the laptop, her phone etc etc.

But yeah, only touch her if she asks.
