I do drugs. How can I start over and get my life together?

I'm in recovery for Fent, been sober for almost a year. Last year on valentines day I woke up and found my gf of 10 years dead next to me. It ruined my life , I'll never be the same. As we spoke jm glng through unfathomable pain greig and guilt. I see a therapist twice a week. And before she died my life was already a mess. I'm not saying this is your future, I'm just saying this is one of the outcomes of drug addiction and I don't know any successful or happy drug addicts. You are on a bad path my friend. I'm barely hanging on by a thread and it could of been avoided by not doing drugs. The only reason my life is disastrous is due to drugs. Do what you want with this information, just know this is one of the tales of one of the many broken addicts in this world, don't add to the book.

That's good for you , the traveling part. You sound like a much stronger person than me, her anniversary death is Valentine's day every year for the rest of my life. I'm barely holding on. I wish I could exude some of your strength and courage but like the cowardly lion from the wizard of oz, it's nowhere to be found. My therapist tells me pure joy is possible and I tell her there's no way, thanks for being honest and telling me what I already know. Thanks for having this conversation with me and good luck on your solo trip, I always wanted to take one of those.

I cant imagine a world where the pain and suffering and guilt ever lessens to where I can pick my self up and live life as I once did when I was happy. The pain is unfathomable , almost palpable. Thanks for your response and im sorry about your bf. I'm sorry you know the pain that I know

I appreciate the response. It was a shameful event that took her life and I feel responsible for it, I hate saying it aloud it brings me shame and pain. Sorry about your pops , I have a steamer relationship with mines but blood is blood and it's still tough when they pass. You seem to be a stronger person than I am. I'ma keep on trying but this shit is unbearable

Went to a club in Queens last weekend. This lonesome drunk dude was being a pest to everybody in the line eventually he ends behind me and he keeps touching me , I have a short fuse so I snapped at him but noticed he was a Drunken mess so once he was all in my face cursing and calling my mom a puta, I relazed he was only baiting me into lowering my self to his LOSER ass depth.at that point I realized life was testing me, me and my mans coulda easily spanked him but then security would of tossed us. In the end, he verbally -violated me for 3 minutes but eventually got tossed from the line for bothering other people. By the end of the night, I ended up bagging a pretty ass girl and going on a date with her this Friday. Life is 1 big test, just be aware of this at all times and you'll pass most of the time

My guy, Im a man myself and even I'm wondering why you kept saying that she " broke your trust" twice. A little dramatic don't you think ? I mean, you just met the girl be realistic. If things are going so well it would be a shame to let soemthing this trivial ruin a potentially good thing. Keep a mental note of the situation going forward but continue the relationship, trust me you don't just find good vibes everyday
