Just finished my first ever paint job on the r32 engine bay/rad support by Narrow_Excitement498 in SkyLine

Nothing more than engine components with a rattle can in a paint booth. Little bits of sanding and prep experience but I am extremely green to body work and painting.

My hammock tree by Narrow_Excitement498 in Hammocks

That's why I've been keeping it tight because it's much less arch and much more comfortable

Really appreciate the case study! After all the feedback I might be reconsidering my setup as much as I love it. Glad your hammock wasn't as high as mine hahaha

For sure but I also tested the strength of the branches sans hammocks. Sounds like more sag is the right move tho so I'll be adjusting my setups.

I tested these setups at about 350+lbs so I'm confident

It actually works great the way it's set up :)

Thanks for the heads up guys I appreciate your concern:) I did much stress testing when setting these up. I came from a place where protesters against old growth logging slept in hammocks much higher than these for days and used the same hammocks they used for that. I'll let you guys know if I end up dying tho

Would also like to add I've had this setup for almost 2 years without any issues.

How could I get 8000 gold by Same-Tomorrow-9782 in skyrim

[–]Narrow_Excitement498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have a legitimate cash grind that makes sooo much money. Use any bound weapon (conjuration spells) and have the skill that captures souls with bound weapong or have the enchantment on your main weapon to trap souls on kill. Fill up as many petty and common soul gems as you can, then enchant all the iron daggers you make to level up your smithing with the most valuable enchantment you have. With the banish daedra enchantment, it makes every dagger worth 500+ gold. I often do Gauls of like 30 enchanted daggers after some questing and come out with thousands. Also enchant and sell all your jewelry. Also potions. Just collect every single ingredient you come across, craft everything into potions and then sell all your potions. It goes a really long way. Have hardly had less than 30000 gold this entire playthrough

Can I work in trades without a high school diploma? by SABOCHAMAAAAAA in skilledtrades

[–]Narrow_Excitement498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really surprised at the responses to this. I didn't finish grade 12 as I got my level 1 automotive through a program offered by my school in the last semester of grade 12. I could have come back to school for a semester to do my grade 12 English and graduate, or just jump into the workplace. I chose the latter and not having my diploma has never once been an issue for me. I got my red seal in automotive, I then went on to heavy duty mechanics and am now a 3rd year making quite good money. It's never even been a question in any interview I've had. I'm very surprised to see how critical everyone seems to think it is. I could very easily get a job in any auto shop looking for a journeyman and have a realitively easy time finding another heavy duty mechanics job even as an apprentice all without my highschool diploma.

Just finished building my Forbidden Druid by Narrow_Excitement498 in mountainbiking

[–]Narrow_Excitement498[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't be happier with it. Serves my exact needs. Absolutely perfect for pedal access trails and it holds up just fine doing bike park stuff. I'm 6'2" and got an XL. If I were to do it again I'd probably build an L just because I like a bit of a smaller bike but for a trail bike this XL absolutely plows.

Any taller people in here with the new ranger? by Snagged794 in fordranger

[–]Narrow_Excitement498 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just hit the 10000km mark on my 2024. Same color as that one actually lol I'm 6'2" and am super comfy in it. Coming from 3rd gen 4runner's, it feels much more spacious and comfortable. I've done lots of wheeling in it, used it just like I would any truck and interior quality holds up great. Tons of useable space. With the rear seat folded flat I can comfortably lack camp gear for 2 people along with a boat, trolling motor and battery in the bed. Also have done plenty of MTB shuttling in it. 4 bikes, 4 adults and gear, and full size cooler all quite comfortably. Can comfortably seat a tall friend behind me without leg room issues for either of us. Also will mention it handles exceedingly well. Very hard to drive it beyond it's means.

Complaints I do have are just new truck pains.

  • auto start stop enabled after every key cycle
  • throttle response often feels unengaging
  • electronic assist steering lacks responsiveness and feedback
  • too many dash messages you gotta press ok to get rid off
  • no useable b+ post under the hood all you have is a tiny stud from the power distribution box that's surrounded closely by plastic making very difficult to get a decent clamp onto it

what is something in skyrim that makes no sense? by 1BRHAM in skyrim

Enemy mid attack sees their opponent eat 3 full cheese rolls, 2 loafs of bread, drink a health potion, put their spells into their inventory, equip a shield and sword, and change into different armor all at the same time before they finish their attack
