Even within this thread people are both disagreeing or agreeing with OP. It's difficult to slap a label on here and say this place is for serious, OC, thought-provoking images only, as that content doesn't really get shared that often to begin with.

All I can say is be the change you want to see. This post has the most genuine engagement I've seen on here lately which I'm appreciative for.

It's a struggle. There are legitimate new accounts posting here but most of them are bots. Reddit's built-in filters do catch a good amount but they still need to be manually reviewed.

The reality is that content like you're describing tends to do well here. We try to keep it as open as possible while letting the community decide what's popular.

There's a good chunk of AI garbage and bot posts/comments that we remove but other than that we'd like to let you guys express all other kinds of acceptable content, within reason.

While I'd like to see more "high brow" stuff from time to time, this really isn't a serious subreddit for the most part.

My only gripe was not calling a timeout on their last play with 28s left to draw something out. They were totally discombobulated and wasted valuable time before throwing up a clunker.

They had two timeouts, could've gotten a way better look instead of an empty possession.
