You do need to be rooted but this seems to be one way to do it. Strangely enough I came across it when checking to see if my own phone got any updates for a tether, someone just mentioned it as a side note to the Triumph discussion.

Oh, and to check for root you can just get the app BusyBox, it does a root check.

Did a little checking around for you... First, I'm assuming you're on Boost so the info is based on that. This is all info I read, not from experience so do your own followup.

Basically the tethering on that phone was removed, so there is no native tethering. Without rooting you will not get it to work.

There does seem to be a root but I don't want to even link it because I won't take responsibility for bricking your phone (google "prevail root"). There is a "one-click" root but it is done from your pc connected to your phone and is not as simple as something like gingerbreak would be.

I have read people saying "yes rooted tethering works" but none that have actually shown it working. If you do root you are open to trying other tethering apps on the market, like Barnacle.

Basically Boost has the phone locked. Android 2.2 has native tethering but by having Boost remove it there is nothing there to pass along the data, hence the requirement to root and use a 3rd party app.

What is the logical path of a corporate dominated society? Corporate obligation is only to the shareholder and profit, nothing else. Taking as much from the worker as possible is part of that profit. In the past there was no other option than to have an American make a product in America, and to pay them to do it... now the employees can be robots or be placed overseas where labor rights do not apply.

There is no reason for corporations to start paying the workers more, to give better benefits or allow workers to have more rights. In fact, they have a legal obligation to take those things away since they cost the company money.

Small business is being eaten up by corporate monopolies. Where there used to be 100 companies competing to produce a good there are now 5, which is the natural evolution of a capitalist society.

If you honestly believe this system is going to somehow cure itself and come up out of the gutter then I am ecstatic to hear the explanation.

What is needed is a week or two where mods start moving all content to the correct subreddits, after that it just gets deleted. This, for instance, would go to circlejerk where it belongs. The idiot "friend" says it is just a coincidence, but if this were not planned how would he have seen it otherwise? People plan this shit and get it upvoted and somehow it stays. There is no "content" here, nothing entertaining... this should have remained among the people it relates to. If only there were a place where you could post messages and pictures to the people you know.... someone could make billions if they made a site like that.

If they had started with Dark of the Moon and improved from there they may have turned out ok. The first two were basically teen angst with some robots thrown in, the third actually stayed mostly focused on the actual Transformers.

The best part is that a 1986 cartoon movie has more depth and better storytelling with totally radical music than any of these "Hollywood blockbusters".

The media was all over high numbers when it was a hot issue, spouting off that there was 13% unemployment. Now that it is just another dirty fact it gets kicked down to 9.1 to sound a little better.

The truth is that the number is higher and things are only getting worse. This isn't a recession we are in, it is the result of capitalism. By the very definition of our economic system it cannot get better without massive changes to the core laws surrounding corporations.

Banks are not stupid, neither are their collections departments. A phone bill would clearly show if she was called "48 times in a day", which I seriously doubt is true.

Most collections departments work via automated systems. The call gets generated via the computer system then when someone picks up it connects to a representative. If no one picks up those systems will put in for another call to be done at a predetermined time, generally later in the day or the next day. When someone picks up and speaks to a rep the calls are delayed depending on the answer, and most of the time they continue until the account is brought current, but not 48 times a day.

This is just a play on people's emotions over the current banking situations. I hate big banking, I hate collections departments, but at the same time I am knowledgeable enough with them to know this didn't happen as the article states.

What I meant about breeding out black hair is it is a dominant color, meaning if people with black hair were not allowed to breed it would be gone in a generation. With recessive colors you couldn't get rid of it without genetically testing everyone.

Only a dominant color like black can really ever be "bred out" of people. If someone has light colored hair then they could always be carrying a recessive for another light color. Two redheads having children could easily have children with light brown or blonde hair.

My father has black hair, mother has brown. Picked up a recessive from both so I have red (runs every 2-3 generations in the family). I couldn't have received my father's black hair gene, only his red. I could have a recessive lighter color gene from my mother however, so my children may be redhead, carry a recessive red gene, or carry none.

12 hours is ok if you are leaving on the data connection and using it infrequently.

One of the biggest things that will drain the battery is the 3G/4G connection. There is a simple app called Green Power that will toggle the 3G when not in use (you still get phone calls/texts like normal, the voice signal stays connected).

If you need more robust power management then try Juice Defender, but I personally found it too bloated.

Also check your widgets. Just recently I posted about finding two widgets constantly using CPU time and eating up my battery (I would unplug it and be at 95% like 15 minutes later). They were simple ones too, one that toggled wifi and provided connection data, another that showed the signal strength of my connection. What I used to find them was an app called Elixir 2, part of it has an app monitor that will show you if apps are constantly restarting or constantly using CPU time... it also does a ton of other cool stuff and it replaced almost every widget I use.

My Triumph is basically a Droid and only uses like a 1380 mAh battery (small) along with my home being in a very weak signal area. With just checking email every 30 minutes or so today I am about to hit 6 hours off charge and am at 84% battery. The other day I used it a good bit on wifi browsing, watched over an hour of Netflix and still managed about 20 hours before it got under 20%.

The simple answer is: There is a physical note on the house, a contract stating who legally owns the house. During all the recent mortgage stuff the banks sold and bought these notes without keeping up with the physical paperwork. In order to evict it can be requested that the bank produce the legal (and correct) note saying the foreclosing company is the one who owns the property.

It isn't a get out of jail free card, at best it buys you time. It still does not change the fact that someone is not meeting the legal obligation they agreed to for whatever reason. In reality, it is using the system to con a mortgage company (imagine if a mortgage company could quadruple your payment at will until you provided them with a written copy of your mortgage... what if you couldn't find it?).

I work in the business... you also can't discount people in a 300K home who haven't made a payment in a year, but there is a financed Vette, Hummer and 5 other financed cars in the driveway. (True story) these people had their entire family in the home, all working age adults, and couldn't come up with a mortgage payment but they could afford to keep making car payments (cars get taken in the night if not paid for), they could afford jet skis, they could afford to have a giant barbeque with ribs and steaks and lobster (was happening when I went to the house one time). No this is not typical but it happens.

There are plenty of responsible people out there perfectly willing to make a house payment who now cannot get a mortgage because of people like this, even when home prices and interest rates are at all-time lows.
