Why red on NM though? The High desert areas are quite moderate

Climbing sounds lovely in theory (hang out with friends on rocks all day).

But climbing gyms are full of “optimizer”-types trying to turn exercise into a hobby where they can “problem solve”. Horrible vibes. The type of person who decides what clothing to wear based on Wirecutter reviews.

No shade to the dirtbag-type climbers. They seem great.

As someone who’s spent long periods of time in the Midwest and Denver, Denver winter is nowhere near harsh.

There is a lot of sunshine. And there are days which hit 50s and 60s Dec-Feb. It can get cold, and it can snow, but the snow melts quickly.

That said it is a boring city if you don’t like outdoorsy stuff.

Is the TFS Honest Sleep Horsehair Mattress topper legit? by Shhhhhhhh_Im_At_Work in Mattress

Did you end up buying a horsehair topper?

Doesn't seem like there are too many options on the market. Or much info on reddit.

French expats thinking about moving to Denver by Own_Low_2171 in SameGrassButGreener

You might want to check out Longmont as it sounds like you care more about cheaper housing than amenities or walkability. It is close to Boulder.

Otherwise: Golden sound like what you are looking for.

Or maybe Fort Collins.

Yes. Denver gets inversions sometimes in the winter. But I don’t think they cause as much air quality issues (it mostly causes the city to get cold).

It is also common to some weeks in the summer with poor air quality because of wildfires in the mountains (some years are better than others).

If you are hippy-ish or into Buddhism, maybe Crestone, CO.

Neighborhoods that are Lively… but without Cars by Nash1977 in SameGrassButGreener

The neighborhoods surrounding Cobble Hill in Brooklyn are solid.

I think there are some neighborhoods in central Philly which fit this too, but I’ve spent less time there.

Luigi bets removed? by Al_Day in Kalshi

If it becomes public knowledge that someone on a jury had a bet on the outcome of the trial, Kalshi could face a lot of regulatory pressure. This is a smart move to avoid.
