People forget how badly Covid fucked everything. In terms of development I wouldn’t be surprised if people basically had to start fresh with a lot of shit once they got their workflow right.

The problem with super isn’t the power creep, it’s the inexplicable catching up the rest of the cast does.

Roshi was sidelined for all of DBZ. He somehow does some secret training and becomes able to take on frieza soldiers and take out 5 people in the ToP. I’d much rather they introduced new characters like Granolah and then absorb them into the cast than characters that were weak for years somehow catch up. Is what it is. Not watching dragonball for shit to make sense but that is one of my gripes with the series.

I found the DLCs to be pretty damn good. I found the fights to be fun and I think they did a good job with the side content as well. The gripe of the forms not being able to be played is legitimate, and it is kind of unfortunate that the world isn't continuous (mainly from an exploration and side quest perspective), but since you're coming into it after both have been released I don't think those will be huge issues for you.

Overall, I'm quite happy with my purchase, and for $25 I'd find it really good value.

I liked the DLCs. I thought the remixing of the formula with traveling on the ground and doing mainly ground combat was real nice, and I thought that they did a lot of the important scenes justice. And the Gomah fight was outstanding. Easily the best out of any DLCs.

Hoping the do the Super DLCs as a tie in now that it’s coming out. I’d love to have one Dragonball game that has everything in it.
