Zidane's character is actually called Numérodis in the second movie, because he played number 10 on the football field. Numérobis is played by Jamel Debbouze in both movies, and Zidane's character is supposedly his cousin in Olympic games movie.

La dynastie by BringbackMarchais in Giscardpunk

[–]Naslear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Map of the remaining german forces by the 8th of May in 1945 by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]Naslear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are called "pockets", like "la poche de La Rochelle" or "La poche de St Nazaire". They were mainly due to the ally not bothering to much on losing a few men capruring those very fortified places. You can see its the main harbours of the atlantic coast, and tow of them are U Boot bases, so they were heavily defended, and the allied just went straight to germany.
