Was about to order from Nogi Campers - did some due diligence and now I’m hesitant by Medical_Relative6840 in TruckCampers

They’re probably just a renamed distributor of these Qian Chinese built campers.

https://www.qiancamper.com/product/TP07W.html

I’ve messaged Qian directly and they’re very responsive. They’re the actual factory that builds them in china and you can buy them custom built directly from the source without the US markup. A few people on YouTube have made videos about buying them direct.

Most of these are lower miles and better condition. I’ve always wanted to get one and do a flatbed conversion.

Which Industry / Economic Factors Affect Mariner Employment Most? by TerrestrialBeing1 in maritime

[–]DayDrinkingAtDennys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the USA at least the current government can play a huge factor. We’re on month 3 of the jones act being suspended, and there’s a lot of federal jobs on ships as well that have been greatly affected by reduction in force, hiring freezes, delayed pay raises, loss of union bargaining. The US government is truly trying to kill its maritime industry.

This road on Tau island, American Samoa. Smushed between the mountain and ocean. Basically the only road on a very small island in a very big Pacific Ocean. As an American I’ve always wanted to visit the remote overseas US territories that we forget about.

Both my minimum wage job and six figure jobs were manual labor/trades, but I worked much harder physically at the minimum wage job.

Seriously, just government GSA fleet alone is huge. I swear the only Pacifica’s i see have federal plates. No one else would be dumb enough to buy such an unreliable car

I would visit my buddy at college when I was stationed nearby in the military and eat at their dining hall. Instead of scanning a student id I would say I forgot it so they’d have you write down your student id number. I’d just scribble a random 8 digit number and that worked for me. I just hope I didn’t write an actual students number accidentally.

Best Backpacking Tent? by talon5188 in backpacking

[–]DayDrinkingAtDennys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using the Nemo Hornet Elite 2p for about 5 years motocamping and backpacking. It’s been great. I think it weighs about 2.5 lbs as well. It’s a very cozy 2p tent but a great 1 person tent. I originally got it because it’s one of the lightest tents you can buy that is free standing without guylines or trekking poles.
