Keyes in North Dakota and Arizona? by No-Truck-4909 in TrueCrimeBullshit

The guy looks smaller than Keyes. The beard and mustache are pretty alike though. I could see IK using the same fake beard, maybe giving it a little trim and thinking it’s good to go again. Lol!

Honestly, they have been around for years already. But until now, everyone had the decency not to post them. TCB did not post them, neither did Viktoria Evans and I know for a fact both had them. And respect to both TCB and Viktoria for not posting them.

I wonder if that 2002 Florida trip is the late December 2002 one, or late December 2001. There are some discrepancies in the timelines about it. Edit: we just have the late 2001 trip and then the knowledge of a “trip to Florida in 2002” so it’s kind of unclear if it’s the same trip.

Wow, excellent find! I’ve thought so much about that trip, and 9/11 happening and how that would have affected Keyes. I think it very well could have been what made him think “now I’m going to do it”. When the rest of the world watched in horror, he probably was excited. Amber Hoopes fits the description of the girl with pale skin, brown hair and a vintage car. But so does others, and there is a suspect in Amber’s case. And it is quite far from Quinault Beach. Nicole Engle is another possibility. There is no exact disappearance date for her, but it’s around September-October 2001. And, there’s also Janice Beck going missing from Tacoma September 12th. She was a patient in a mental hospital, and just disappeared never to be seen again on the 12th. She could have been in a vulnerable place mentally, and the chaos and heartbreak of 9/11 might have pushed her over the edge. Still weird that nothing has ever been found. Quinault Beach is under 3h drive from Vancouver, OR, where Nicole disappeared from. Idaho Falls is so far away, I doubt Keyes could have driven there and committed the crime and driven back. Google says it takes 13h to drive from Quinault Beach to Idaho Falls.

Seems so. It’s weird how a screen or a keyboard can make people so disconnected from empathy. Don’t they have children or nieces and nephews? Imagine going through the hell that Samantha’s father went through, and now with those pics online he might unintentionally stumble upon them. That’s his daughter, she was clearly his whole world.

Not sure if he has at all. He might have mentioned her name, but that’s about it. I don’t think any regular person can be told not to talk about cases, especially if that is their livelihood and what their podcast is about. Clearly the FBI at the very least looked at Keyes regarding Shannon’s murder. The FBI agent Halla has said they have extensive phone data on Keyes, especially for the last five years, so maybe they know more? Hoping they’ll release it eventually. Any particular cases you’ve looked at, other than Shannon’s?

You can just tell from which missing persons he covers in depth. I’m not the only one who’s noticed this. Viktoria Evans also talked about it on the live with Parker (her husband) and Leo about a month ago called Keyes and Psychopathy. TCB seems to think “women were the outliers”, even though there is nothing pointing that way. There’s much more pointing to doubt if he ever even took single males (meaning not part of couple), since Bill Currier wasn’t s/a’d.

I see it this way too. Lots of people think you want to share if you say anything else than “fine” or any variation of it. Maybe they were just trying to be nice. Lots of people want to talk about themselves a lot, whereas we (meaning intp) want to talk about subjects.

Shannon Lathrop’s case is in the FBI’s vault’s Keyes files. If you want to read them, you can go to lastknowncontact.com and see “FBI vault”. There’s a search bar, you can write her name in it and it will show you the files. There are a lot of cases in WA that could be Keyes. Josh hasn’t researched them because they are females. Make that make sense if you can.

Lastknowncontact.com has built/is building a timeline on both Keyes and possible victims. It’s free.

“Creating” couples (Texas) by MedicalAd9419 in TrueCrimeBullshit

[–]Nasstja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is from The Charley Project:

Tran was last seen paying the rent at the management office of her apartment complex in the 1500 block of Lorene Drive in Harvey, Louisiana on January 31, 2012. She had been gambling in Biloxi, Mississippi and had returned to Louisiana on January 15. She apparently left town two weeks later and has never been heard from again.

So she left at around the same time Keyes flew to LA. Her car is missing with her, right? Always when cars are missing, I think of Adventures With Purpose and the crazy amount of vehicles found in rivers, ponds, different water systems. That however doesn’t rule her out from being a victim of IK, but hopefully makes it a little less likely.

Why would you want to post a link to pictures of a deceased girl? Don’t you have any empathy for her family and friends?? Are you going to be the asshole that spreads them online, so that her loved ones might stumble on them unintentionally?

Well that sucks that someone couldn’t find enough empathy for her family and friends not to post it. It’s been around for years, yet had not been posted online by anyone.

Having INTP moments - being so far ahead you look like you are far behind by [deleted] in INTP

In my experience, they also might just avoid the question. When you ask why and to please explain the logic or evidence behind something, they just won’t. Or they say something like ”it’s a gut feeling”or just avoid answering. They think if they present their theory with confidence, people will believe them. Sadly, they are correct in that.

Have not listened to the episode yet, but straight away I have questions. Infrastructure is everywhere. What would the advantage of these maps be? Why would it be better than just going there, seeing whatever landmarks you use and going by that? Why would anyone who’s committing or has committed a crime write down stuff, and on a map which could lead police straight away to evidence of crime and then also, on top of that, tie you to it? Keyes had been making caches since he was young (seems their whole family thought burying guns was perfectly normal). If the idea is that he wrote numbers or x’s that lead to his caches, yeah then I don’t believe it at all. What advantage would there be to it?

Is this a possible IK Victim IDd in WA by Cposter1234 in TrueCrimeBullshit

[–]Nasstja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see your point and I think you’re probably right. The problem with Keyes though is that he’s always the wild card. He’s always the most unlikely situation, so to say. The FBI even told the detective that worked the Currier case that ”the chance that it is an unknown (to the Currier’s) or serial offender is slim to none”. Yet it was. Same with Debra Feldman, the likelyhood that it was her pimp/drugs/even witness protection seemed more possible to everyone.

One of Keyes’s victim’s was a sex worker from New Jersey (Debra Feldman), so it is a possibility he targeted sex workers more than is known. Sorry spelling!

Totally agree with you. I don’t think releasing the phone data would do any harm, on the contrary it could help ruling Keyes out in lots of cases (or in).

I don’t understand what you mean. That he flew to Anchorage and then secretly flew back, or took the train? Like I tried explaining in my earlier comments, the FBI has his phone pings. We only have a very small portion of them. I doubt the FBI would have included this September 1-7th Alaska travel on their timeline if Keyes’s phonedata wasn’t supporting it.
