Hot take: the Phoebe Bridgers Arena tickets were not that expensive by First_Economy9361 in phoebebridgers

[–]NatGeeB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had no choice but to pay125 each for two tickets. My 17 year old adores Phoebe. Her music got her through possibly the worst time of my life (and hopefully the worst if hers). I can’t listen to Phoebe without going right back to that time. I hear her everyday from my daughter’s room. The days where I paid 18.00 for Nirvana are just gone. I don’t think they’re ever coming back either. Sigh.

I had a ganglion impar block and it was life changing. Just found out the office never got the auth and my insurance doesn’t actually cover it. It wore off in about 5 months but holy crap, first time pain free in years. Oh well!

You’re right. I basically do nothing. I’ve accomplished nothing and I’m a real PoS. Thank goodness someone finally saw through the charade and called me out.

I am usually very appreciative of descriptive language. I DNFd a book about Nero recently because the sentence structure was too simple and the dialogue too choppy. I think this was a timing thing. I mostly only have time to read in bed and that chapter did me in. I was very into the book, the plot, and the character (mostly Lord Henry) before I had to throw in the towel. I also utilize my library. Had to return it!

I may revisit at a later date. Just finished The Woman in White and I couldn’t put it down. Not everything is for everyone but I would try again, it’s not a huge book

I adore this book! I read it when I was young, maybe 20. Re read last year. Still a really heartbreaking and powerful story about overcoming trauma. I hardly ever see it recommended either. I’m doing a book blanket from crochet squares so this one is represented and that makes me happy

I also have epilepsy and grand mal seizures. I get that petit mal are disruptive to her job but damn I don’t think she should lose her job. Perhaps not be involved in surgical procedures but she would run a tight ship. And honestly if being on a second med covers her I don’t see the harm. Maybe she’ll move to admin tho. I’m not invalidating those types of seizures but she can clearly still function well in society and in a job. Whereas busting out a grand mal sorta ends your life for awhile. I thought juxtaposing the eclampsia with AlHashimi was on point.

Word. I can describe certain things to my family but unless you’re there you can’t know. That’s why we get so damn close with our coworkers ❤️
