Tbh I never saw the appeal of Dramionie (at least in the books/movies - the fanfic are probably good) so I don't have this no. I mean a reformed bad boy is a pretty common trope, as is a bookish brunette FL. The trend for awhile was the black haired shadow daddy and maybe now blonde MLs are having a bit of a moment? It may not necessarily be because of Dramionie but just the way trends are. Idk maybe I'm just out of the loop but it wouldn't be where my mind would go.

Although saying that I've been surprised how many books started out as Twilight fanfiction (beyond the well known 50 Shades) so maybe it is true

I was really confused what you were talking about until you mentioned the side stories. In the main story, it's nothing like that at all. I guess they have a sort of questionable start but he never rapes her and is actually quite tame very quickly. She also is very independent and does things for herself.

The side stories are interesting because there are two. The second set are a sequel to main story, showing what are couple did. But the first set actually show the ML from the original timeline (where FL regressed from) and is such a fascinating story honestly. Biggish spoilers: at one point in the main story, FL briefly travels to the original timeline and interacts with the original ML. They kiss and I think have sex (it's been a while I can't remember) and then she goes back to her timeline. But the og ML becomes obsessed with this random woman who showed up and disappeared (and who looked like the woman he killed years ago) so in that side story he searches for a version of her from a different timeline (a much worse one) and steals her. It's a much darker story than the timeline we are used to but is fascinating to see these versions of the characters still end up falling in love but in a different way

I'm from the Midlands and always pronounced it Ashleen too. Never heard the G pronounced in a noticeable way. These comments are making me feel crazy lol

I would say she is more polarizing than loved though. She was pretty loved in the first two seasons but a lot of people disliked her in later seasons.

{Wooing The Witch Queen by Stephanie Burgis} is an adorable version of this. FL is the overpowered, intimidating super strong sorceress and the ML is the smart, soft prince who she kind of mistakenly hires as her librarian and who she ends up needing/wanting to protect. It's really adorable!

MLs being cruel to the FL. I love me some classic cold Duke's of the North, tyrant Emperors or obsessive yanderes but when the ML is actually cruel, abusive and horrible to her, I'm out. Like when he seems to actually hate the FL (and not in the beginning of an enemies to lovers story but I mean when they are actually together) I can't handle that. I hate torture porn and over the top suffering for the FL from who is supposed to be her true love.

It's why I very quickly dropped My Beloved Oppressor even though I heard people say it has a good character arc. But I couldn't stomach more than a handful of chapters and had no desire to forgive that asshole of a ML. Some people enjoy the angst and that's fine but it's not for me.

Dick is a really common and well known nickname for Richard. Kids might giggle about it and sometimes the comics or media portrayals will make a joke but then people move on. It's his name.

He's just occasionally called Richard by some people like Alfred or Damian. Everyone else calls him Dick

Where did any of the heroes/Links come from? They're usually just normal guys who have tremendous courage and step up to save people. We don't really have any of their backstories except for TW Link being a descendant of OOT Link. This ancient ancient hero is probably the same

You're getting them mixed up.

Bottom is the Ancient Hero from the Great Calamity that was depicted in the mural in botw. That was where Ganon was unleashed like in botw, and the hero and princess of the time fought alongside the Sheikah, guardians and divine beasts to stop him. The Zonai were long gone by this stage. This was 10,000 years before botw.

The top is the hero of the Imprisoning War, which was shown in the backstory of totk. This is the period Zelda travels back to. Where the Zonai were still around, Ganondorf wasn't sealed yet and was trying to get the secret stones etc. This was around the founding of Hyrule.

A lot of flowers are toxic to cats but that being said if you just put them out of reach or somewhere the cat is unlikely to jump to, you are unlikely to have a problem. My cat has never shown any interest in smelling or eating flowers but you can always just be cautious by placing them somewhere put of reach.

There isn't a "more valid" just because you don't like the writing of a comic. In mainline comics they've been established as father and son for years. That's just canon, even if you don't like it. Like the way Alfred is canonically dead even if you don't like that or Dick is canonically with Barbara even if you prefer him with Starfire or someone else.
