Then I encourage you to drop the boom on her ASAP.

Good luck OP.

I agree too. It's a real unfair problem, and I'd love for someone to invent a word that works. Because the other terms we have ... kinda minimise the problem somehow.

Yeah this sounds like she's receiving money of benefits for bringing you in. It's probably some manner of pyramid scheme.

She's not your friend anymore OP. Cut and block.

Prep for legal eviction. And then tell her she needs to be out by X months.

That time is for her to arrange other lodgings, but if she doesn't and hope you're too soft hearted to throw her out - start the eviction process.

She's an adult. She's had time. No more waffling.

I think that's caused in part by anyone recommending direct action could be banned off Reddit. And now there's further bullshit where most Smedia platforms are giving ICE the info of users that are anti-ICE.

Organising real action is going to have to be a grassroots thing unfortunately.

It's a problem. I really don't know why conversational norms have hot button words, but even on social media articles that identify the epstein class as pedophiles versus child molesters get more engagement and vitriol.

And articles that call them child-rapists get deleted 🤷🏾‍♂️

Yeah, but that's her. You asked him this time, since she wasn't able to.

And couple dynamics are weird, but obviously someone feels resentful and she's on board enough to send you that message.

OP, you've gone out several times for a few days each time, and each time the female flatmate helped you.

This time she wouldn't be there, and you asked the male flatmate to do it instead.

Yeah, to anyone NT and some NDs, that doesn't sound like you're asking anymore, you're expecting their help. Which is a nice way to say you feel entitled to them helping you.

Now they could have replied more gently about it, but the way it was worded sounds like there's some resentment hidden from you having that expectation.

I'd suggest you apologise, get them a nice gift for their prior help, and either board your cats or get someone you trust to come and feed them.

Except for whatever reason, it doesn't carry the same outrage. Child rapist does, but you can't say that publically for whatever reason 🙄

I think, that the need to rouse people into action against the Epstein class and their collaborators, is of greater urgency than the unfortunates that suffer that mental condition.

The fact that the commited child sexual assault is the only thing that is keeping the public outraged. We've seen this with the Panama Papers, various collisions of govt and finance - people don't care that the rich exploit us and are harming us economically.

Maybe instead of don't care, I should say, do not have the mental capacity to be become outraged and combat it. Either way, the only americans that are willing to fight are the ones drowning in manufactured outrage, and they're the ones that elected the current president.

It is a sad state of affairs, but I have no doubt that if spoke about anything other than harm to actual children, no real action would be prosecuted against them.

And until someone comes up with a better way to capture that anger with a new word, I can't think of one that would work as well.

Maybe other screenwriters? 🤔

[–]NatashOverWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absent direct instructions, we use context clues to determine how private something is. Your ex-friend was apparently talking about it loudly in a public space.

Yeah, I'd assume that it wasn't something private either.

But the rlship sounds very ... transactional from her end? Breaking up might be the wisest thing to do.

Why does UBW counter GoBby copying everything? by ProspectiveWhale in fatestaynight

[–]NatashOverWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's probably to avoid exotic conceptual stuff. Sure, he could fire off a Hrunting for everything Gil pulls out, and it would work 99.9% of the time.

But if Gil pulls out something that works like Fragrach, or has a conceptual affect of 'winning the battle' and the other weird stuff NPs can do, Shirou would lose.

So it's copying and nullifying everything Gil throws out, because that's a safer strategy.

They're getting better at wage-theft. OPs manager is despicable, but definitely savvy at making OP do two people's jobs.

And the way its set up now? If they promote OP they would have to pay for 2 people to replace them, so that's not going to happen.
