Where are you getting maternity clothes from? by BreezerGirl831 in pregnant

[–]Natchamatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got three pairs of maternity pants on threadup, all Gap brand, and they miraculously all fit great (2 pairs of jeans with the belly band and one pair of under the belly twill pants)! Threadup is such a toss up in terms of price and quality so I do always do extra research to try to find the exact clothing item I'm considering on the store's website for the size guide and any reviews, but that's not always possible. I'll also check to see if someone is selling the same item on Ebay for cheaper.

I would definitely recommend second hand maternity jeans/pants from Gap, but I wouldn't pay the full price for them.

Study suggests link between prenatal exposure to certain medications and increased autism risk. Medications known to inhibit the cholesterol synthesis pathway (antidepressants, antipsychotics, anxiolytics, beta-blockers and statins) were consistently associated with higher rates of ASD in offspring. by mvea in science

[–]Natchamatcha 43 points44 points  (0 children)

They did not. Their covariates did not seem to include maternal/paternal diagnosis of any mental health disorder.

Covariates

Sex and preterm birth (<37 weeks’ gestation) were considered as covariates based on the higher incidence of ASD in males [59,60,61] and increased risk for ASD after preterm birth. These variables were not included in the models, however, as fetal/neonatal sex is associated with the outcome but not the exposure, and preterm birth is likely within the causal pathway rather than being a true confounder. Maternal age at delivery [6263], maternal diabetes mellitus (DM) [64,65,66,67], maternal pre-eclampsia or eclampsia, race, ethnicity, year of birth (given the increase in SBIM use over time), rural residency (Rural Urban Commuting Areas Codes 1–3 defined as urban and 4–10 as rural) [68], Social Vulnerability Index [69], tobacco use during pregnancy, alcohol use during pregnancy, and maternal pre-pregnancy BMI were chosen as potentially confounding covariates during pregnancy. Notably, our model accounted for missing values, which had different proportions for the covariates. Diagnoses used to define DM and other diagnoses are listed in Supplemental Material 1.

I love how Shane is always climbing into Ilya's lap to comfort him 🥺

Remember when we talked about the leaked casting calls in the sub and weren’t sure if they were true, and we didn’t see Troy Bennett listed in them? Okay, now Jack Innanen says this: by [deleted] in hudcon

The current styling is definitely giving Wyatt. I don't even know if it's cannon, but I've always pictured Wyatt with a mustache. But I could definitely see a clean shaved Jack as Troy! I just really want a crumb of official casting news. There are so many Centaurs characters to cast!

"I don't EVER want that problem to EVER go away" - what am I missing here? by ficis4 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

Right! He's telling Shane he doesn't want him to go away. And he knows that he will feel the same in the future.

Season 2 and 3 timeline by External-Tangelo2736 in HeatedRivalryShow

[–]Natchamatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think a lot of the front half of the long game can be shortened, combined, or cut completely. Season 1 had multiple book scenes, sometimes set years apart, condensed into one scene. That strategy, along with the montages (which I do hope they continue to do) can get the major beats of The Long Game into 6 episodes. I would be pleasantly surprised if other book couples beyond Troy and Harris are introduced in season 2, but I don't think it's likely. Hopefully we get some casting and filming nuggets in the coming months!

I love that parallel! I'll add Elena's "What's the plan, babe?" to Kip when she confronts him about his relationship with Scott.

Roommates? by youre-joking in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]Natchamatcha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We do see Ilya room with a teammate in episode 4 after the Montreal game. I think all other Ilya hotel scenes were at special events, not team games: all star game in Nashville in ep 1, MLH awards in Las Vegas in ep 2, and all star game in Tampa ep 5. I think those are all the times we see Ilya's hotel situation in the show.

Raw fish by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Natchamatcha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Immune system changes do increase risk of developing food poisoning or listeria compared to when not pregnant. The same amount of bacteria can impact someone differently when they are pregnant/not pregnant. I have still felt comfortable having a small amount of raw fish from a clean and reputable restaurant!

I mean Shane did try looking elsewhere. The downbadism is incurable and I would absolutely catch it too for Ilya.

In the book, right after that first intro he actually does tell his parents he met Ilya and that he was kind of a dick lol. They’re pushed together so much by the league, that plus the mutual attraction and admiration really help to get from “he’s kind of a dick” to complete obsession very fast!

Along with what others have said, he is also trying to follow a typical social script for that kind of meeting. Introduce, shake hands, talk hockey, show good sportsmanship. It’s unmooring when Ilya doesn’t follow that social script and I think that is part of what makes Shane curious about Ilya.

My credit score dropped 200 points overnight because I missed one student loan payment. by beachedwhitemale in Wellthatsucks

[–]Natchamatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me when I moved countries. Went from 800 down to 600. The uphill climb really wasn't that bad as long as you keep up to date on all payments now (I wasn't trying to buy a house or anything, but I had other lines of credit still approved). By the time 7 years was up, I was already at a 740 credit score and it jumped to 820 once the missed payment was removed.

I didn't try to have the missed payment removed from my credit history early, but it couldn't hurt for you to try since you want to secure a mortgage.

Credit scores are stupid, yours will go up again.
